Sounds like a proper adventure.
A couple of years ago, Farnborough based poet, Rodney Wood went on a cruise and wrote a #poem every day. He also took some #watercolour lessons. You can see the fruits of his labours on #60Odd poets
Ohh but there are…
We all like a bit of carnivalisation. It’s so much more refined than disnification.
A black and white drawing of a man with a bucket over his head wearing nothing else other than some tight black bloomers, saying "Help Me"
Some thoughts on #poetry and how much it represents the true nature of the poet.

Jack Gilbert. American Poet. In a shirt that blends beautifully with the background of the picture.
Looked up Jack Gilbert. He looks like Cliff Richards’ older and less approachable brother
That’s a great poem. I’ll have a think about that.
Notes from Various Settees is available on amazon, or if you live in South Yorkshire, maybe by asking me or Roger to drop you a copy off. You never know.
That's me (Mike O'Brien) on the left, with Roger Waldron to my left or, if you prefer, to the right of the picture. We are both holding a copy of Roger's book, Notes from Various Settees. I am smiling because I have read it, and Roger is smiling because he wrote it. On the floor are some throwaway poems that Roger has thrown away.
I had an excellent afternoon at the Fox Gallery in Mexborough yesterday for the Launch of Roger Waldron's @throwawayreg.bsky.social Notes From Various Settees. Here's Me and Roger enjoying a read on a particular settee. The #poetry flowed.
Three reviews of three fine poetry collections. From Andy Williamson, @andywilliamson.com Danielle McMahon @dehm000.bsky.social and Chivonne Barrington Head
Would you look at that! I have two #poems in the Spring 26 edition of Pennine Platform. What joy! Promoting Poetry since 1973, and now promoting me! Well... I feel like I've had a promotion.
That’s a really lovely piece of work!
That’s a great poem. It’s hard to say goodbye. But your mum will always be around, through love, and in your case through flowers.
its all going on in Mexborough on Sunday Afternoon! We're even going to shift a settee!
My card. With my email address on it and a brown flower.
Congratulations Paul. A result!!!

I'm looking for some #poetry #submissions for publication. You are invited to respond to Sally Anne Wickenden's art with your words.
Come down to the Fox Gallery in Mexborough and have a look, or take a look at her work online. There are links and some Sally Ann inspired poetry on her #60Odd page
(I'm enjoying the poetry very much)
Ha! I can remember this exact lesson from school!
There are a few familiar names in this! Looks like a great collection!
I have to publicly state what I intend to do in the world of literature - in order that i will do it if only to avoid public humiliation. This incredible book of #poetry will be published by the #SixtyOdd Press very soon. And it will be well worth the wait.

On #SixtyOdd poets today an excellent set of #poetry from the marvellous Isabel Greenslade. Pour yourself a drink (tea, coffee, real ale, or whatever you prefer) and enjoy.
Yes! A really amazing image - particularly the pebble dash. Of course, I missed out on all that sort of thing what with me being a nerd!
That is such a lovely thing to tell me John. Thank you.
I like the ambiguity and having to imagine who has gone, where and why. Lovely.
Fabulous -some great images. A morning that believed in evening!
A poem on the theme of "melt" composed for #poems about on Bluesky. It first I toyed with the idea of watching a Tuna Melt, but then I got taken up with the idea of surrender which led me to the idea of Jesus. I'm not really religious - but what a story! I say this in the same way as I sometimes say, I'm not really a fan of Elvis - but what a story!
Love it. A great retelling of the story, and the final lines bring a real sensory dimension
