Our paper "Insuring Peace: Index-Based Livestock Insurance, Droughts, and Conflict" (w @paulschaudt.bsky.social ) is now out in the QJE! We show that Kenya's IBLI program strongly reduces drought-induced conflict between pastoralists and farmers.

Key mechanisms: insurance reduces herd sizes, smooths income, and stabilizes asset prices — lowering migratory pressure and conflict over scarce resources. A scalable complement to institutional reforms.

Maximum number of journal submissions: you mean per journal or overall? Overall seems very hard to track. What would you want to achieve with it? My worry is if someone is just more productive in creating more papers, wouldn't that punish them?
