I guess comparison can be dangerous if it goes unchecked, but it’s also one way we improve our artist eye.

My current project has been a great exercise in using my rule-based workflow to get part of the way but sometimes, to get the rest of the way, rules can be broken.

Oh damn, I find myself doing this exact thing. I’ve always struggled with timing/spacing, especially in the early days.

I’d never mentioned it to anyone because I figured it was something I just ‘did’, either from lack of experience or a desire for a more rules-based workflow.

I’ve loved the Gears of War series from day one. There’s a lot to like about these games, but the AI in Reloaded is far worse than I remember. On numerous occasions, I’ve had squad mates run blindly into the firing line & get downed. It’s so prevalent & frustrating in the early stages of Act 2.

Motherboard unexpectedly died on Thursday night. Initially thought the PSU had given out but after some sleuthing online, others have experienced the same problem.
Luckily it’s just within warranty but I’m not hopeful for a replacement or refund.
Guess it’s time for component shopping :/
