Sadly suppressing such a devastating report doesn’t make the risks go away - it just makes them even harder to deal with. Facing up to the truth is the first step to coping with it - it’s beyond scandalous that ministers tried to prevent this. They need to act - and fast

Suppressed climate report warned of mass migration and nuclear war Unabridged document said disappearing forests and rivers drying up could drive people to Europe and lead to conflict in Asia

Back in the Autumn, No.10 blocked the publication of a report into the risks the UK could face if climate change causes ecosystems around the world to collapse. On Tuesday, after an FOI request, it published the report. But it turns out, that wasn't the full version. www.thetimes.com/uk/environme...

Nature loss is a national security risk, intelligence groups warn The degradation of ecosystems around the world threatens UK food security, a long-awaited report says.

During the 1990s environmental damage was projected in the future to cause mass migration, food price increases, disease & extreme weather, among other things. We are living now in the beginning of that future. Taking action is vital for national security.

King Charles hopes Amazon Prime nature documentary will 'inspire' viewers The King to appear in Amazon documentary encouraging people to work with rather than against nature.

The release of this new film in early 2026 should create quite an impact, in setting out the seriousness of the ecological challenges now upon us, while inspiring understanding as to the positive choices we can make in meeting them.

Agree the population debate is a distraction. However, isn't the real issue the rising cost of elderly care? Why is nobody talking about the fact that care homes are mostly owned by private equity firms offering "yields" of 8%? It is a mass extraction of wealth from social care budgets (taxpayers)

This is vitally important considering the Amazon is responsible for approximately 20% of the world's total freshwater - as the largest watershed in the world - and also accounts for around 16% of the oxygen produced on land.

These decisions affect all life on earth. #COP30 #deforestation #farming

Clearly, the risks of climate change at ~3C are still terribly high & catastrophic for many, particularly with #tippingpoints in the climate, but I think the point here is that we should recognise the progress that has been made globally so far in managing these risks, such as coal phase-out #hope

Important point by @susannahfisher.bsky.social in her new book:

"If I had been writing this book a few years ago I might have talked more about the highest-emission scenarios and painted a picture of an apocalyptic desert world of 4C or 5C.. The good news is, that is now not very likely" #optimism
