Depends on the book. I’m a planner, but do my investigator series, nothing goes to plan, so revisions are always monstrous. My beach mystery series works a little better, but takes longer to write because of multiple POVs

I’m Elise and I write mysteries. What intrigues me most about writing is finding ways to raise the stakes in any given scene.

I need to come up with some. Mostly just forcing myself in front o a computer and writing. Revising is more of a ritual for me.

Chase should go to dinner with John Douglass. He is a real person, and her detective skills are based on his books. If someone were murdered at said dinner party, they’d solve it in seconds.

This is a question that’s been on my mind a lot lately. If I couldn’t cast my best friends (I know a lot o actors) Anna Kendrick would be a great Chase Harlem. Christian Kane would be Burke, and Priah Ferguson as Reese.

Tea, travel, and reading. Not necessarily in that order.

Maybe a list of questions for publishers would be good?

I read ALICE IN WONDERLAND to my oldest, and my husband read THE HOBBIT, but honestly, she prefers BROWN BEAR BROWN BEAR.

If I’m writing, I just need a computer and a playlist. If I’m editing, I need silence and for someone to take my phone and turn off the Wi-Fi 😂

I read more in my genre, and I think I’m a little pickier about what I read. I read with the goal of becoming a better author, so I read books by authors I respect.

I would want to go to Edinburgh, Scotland, sit on Arthur’s Seat, and write. It’s beautiful there.
