I have been leasing my EV since 2023 and it expires in September and I honestly have no idea what to do at that point. Residual is way above used market pricing, but I do not want to go without warranty.
I can confirm that reading to my wife is 100% more entertaining and bonding than watching any sort of media.
We’ve made it through three books now, and while it is barely denting her TBR pile, I am getting exposed to a lot of different books. I might have to take an accent class. 😂
A lot made sense to me once I read the airplane specs and realized that standard airline seats are 2” narrower than my shoulders.

Yes; Doyce and I have had good luck doing this with Ironsworn/Starforged.
The rules have been useful, but the extensive oracles have been incredible - just really gets the creative juices flowing.
It’s like the crit/fumble/spell tables from Dungeon Crawl Classics on steroids.
If you are looking for a game to run with a couple of forever-GMs that reliably facilitates truly interesting twists with low-ish prep time, I have been very much been enjoying co-run/playing Ironsworn Starforged with @doyce.bsky.social .

Reading a 2025 romantasy book out loud to my wife. 80% of the sentences I can perform no problem, but some are truly challenging. *Many* unusual verb/metaphor combos. A lot of unattributed dialog that I have to go back and re-voice. Very fun overall, only a few times when I have been 🙄.
I mean, high school lit trauma is real. I still have nightmares about Clockwork Orange. But Gatsby is particularly culturally pervasive…

I think it is mainly because it is very expensive compared to…free. 😅

Angela was entirely amazing in this episode. Loved seeing Jacob and Kurt have to keep up.
I’ve also run it twice, and agree with all criticisms! I ended up printing several pages of the PDF more than once to make reference at the table easier. I love the ending and may of the encounters, and really love the vibe, but some things are just…too much.
The best part is the people who think that paying GMs is a betrayal of the hobby, but when asked if they want to GM, say “too much work”. 😭
