GitHub - PwnKit-Labs/foxguard: Linter-fast security scanning and policy checks for catching regressions before deploy. Linter-fast security scanning and policy checks for catching regressions before deploy. - PwnKit-Labs/foxguard

This is pretty sick, near instant security scanner. Written in Rust. Fast enough to run in every save or commit instead of in CI github.com/PwnKit-Labs/...

Ground beef and bulgogi don’t belong in the same sentence. Also boy kibble sounds like club party drugs 😆

I didn’t make an account here to talk to bots I’m here to converse with humans. The spammy bot replies are super annoying, I will 100% block and report if you are coming at me with that garbage.

Those are both great ideas. I’ve been on a side tangent lately working on tooling to speed up my workflow but it’s totally one of those things that can feel selfish because I’m not knocking though product tickets. Hackfests kind of give folks an okay to work on wishlist/internal projects

What I meant is that the things being built could be used by external users but the folks doing the building are internal to the company.

I agree with the point they made in their post. Not much point staying on there

Excellent. My only question is why did it take so long

1 day ago 1 0 0 0

See, I knew you’d have something in your back pocket! Probably external users but partially why I was curious about the process of sorting out a good idea folks would be excited about that isn’t just something off the backlog. I feel like part of the fun is coming up with a novel concept.

Tangent question, any tips for getting the creative ideas flowing for folks attending or running their first hackathon?

Yeah, React really should only be concerned w/ UI and visualizing structures you are creating elsewhere. If you feel like you have a solid background in Clojure it makes sense to go with that! Until you get to the point where you need to hyper-optimize the best lang is the 1 you are productive with

Just read a little bit on your blog about the switch. Understandably JS has issues with large data structures but I’m curious about what inspired the move to Clojure specifically?
