One of my favorite #AtmosphereConf experiences was meeting and sitting beside @jon2600.bsky.social for a 4-hour flight to Vancouver. Then meeting Jon again in the lobby of the conference hotel hours later with neither of us knowing we were going to the same place lol.

Was asked about this more than a few times at #AtmosphereConf 😳

This is great! This is a wonderful lens for expressing how we think about using AI at @newpublic.org.

At #atmosphereconf, I shared a lot how our pre-moderation tools use very focused models to label content and gets users to *read the community rules* by showing them if/when a rule is being broken.

Anyone can host a PLC directory but the most popular directory is currently being run by Bluesky PLC. It’s being spun out into an independent entity in Switzerland. The independent board of that entity was just announced at the #AtmosphereConf.

Stratos Private permissioned data layer for ATprotocol

The cooperative team is coming hot off the heels of attending #ATmosphereConf, where the team was showing up in force as attendees, presenters, and even organizers.

@evelyn.northsky.team did a live demo of our "permissioned data" service stratos.zone that will launch with our App and be adoptable.

@iame.li, you, @natalie.sh, and the team at @stream.place are all incredible, and i hope you get some sleep. we can wait for timestamped VODs. as excited as i am to share links to videos with people, you all did a monumental thing, and we are all grateful. Thank you for making #atmosphereconf live

One of the things I took from #AtmosphereConf was that there's still a hole to fill to make it easier for users to back up their identities and that something like a mobile app may do that. So if you're interested, please take a bit of time to answer the questions to help shape that app.

There’s not a group of Black folks I admire quite like the @blackskyweb.xyz team. So I was nervous to meet them in person at #atmosphereconf

Turns out, like always, they were more than happy to welcome me in with open arms.

Some of my white friends told me that when they were mentioning me to other non-Black folk at #Atmosphereconf, those folks would initially get a look on their faces and go, “oh yeah. I’ve seen them online.”

My white friend had to convince these non-Black folks to come talk to me in person.
