OTD 24 years ago, April 17, 2002, @StormgasmJim, Tom Santillo, and I chased a nice low precipitation (LP) supercell over Northwest Oklahoma. We saw baseball-sized hail, a funnel cloud, and nice sculpted updraft structure. Time flies! #OKwx

The 2026 tornado season has been relatively good so far, especially in Iowa!

OTD 11 years ago, April 16, 2015, Juston Drake and I documented a multivortex tornado over wheat fields near the community of Miami, Texas. After this dissipated we documented a 2nd twister from another cell near Sayre, Oklahoma.

The relatively calm 'eye' of #Typhoon #SINLAKU is currently directly over the Mariana Islands of Tinian and Saipan, April 14, 2026.

Today, April 13, 2026, Juston Drake, Jeff Turney, and I documented a relatively long-lived tornado and prolific hail-producing supercell near the community of Truman, Minnesota. Big stone hit and cut Jeff's scalp! #MNwx

OTD 6 years ago, Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, @JustonStrmRider and I documented a massive, rain-wrapped, megawedge tornado near Heidelberg, Mississippi. It was the widest twister in Mississippi recorded history (2.25 miles) with a 68-mile path.
