2. So much of the conversation in Democratic circles and in parts of political media has been about messaging.
'Oh, Democrats just need better messaging,' I hear folks say.
Wrong. Even if Dems had the perfect message, it wouldn't get anywhere. This isn't messaging problem; it's a media crisis.
#Books2025 #Korval 30 Shout of Honor by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller A look at he Yxtrang ambassador before events in The Gathering Edge. I loved JinJee's troop's reactions!
#Books2025 29 Moon's Honor by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller. One of the libraries in our county system has a number of these short Liaden universe books. It is lovely getting some back stories!
The demand for the measles vaccine is so high in Texas that they are now RUNNING OUT of them. I have always said it would come to this. Science will always exist. Politics will never usurp it.

In order to defeat CHAOTIC EVIL…
…you’re gonna need CHAOTIC GOOD.
Am I right?
Level 5 Dungeon Masters, please check in.
#Books2025 28 Bonded in Death by JD Robb. I was hoping for the new house move in as part of the back story, but guessing that will be next book.
A blast from The Brewers past.

Image of a cross stitch mimicking the message you get when you die in the old computer game Oregon Trail that says “YOU LISTENED TO RFK”

#Books2025 27 Starter Villain by John Scalzi Another one that is light and humorous and just delightful!
#Books2025 The Witness for the Dead by Katherine Addison
Set in the same world as The Goblin Emperor this is more of a mystery following Thara Celahar investigating several different deaths. I still want to see more from the court, but love this entry too!
#Books2025 24: Night of the Living Trekkies by Kevin David Anderson - I don't usually read zombie books, but it came billed as a humorous take, the zombie outbreak centered around a Star Trek convention.
#Books2025 #Korval 22: Scout's Progress from early in the Liaden Universe by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller.
#Books2025 #Korval 22: Sleeping with the Enemy by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller - 2 stories set on Surebleak after Korval relocates there.
Congratulations!
Be sure to read the reviews!
#Books2025 21: Snuff by Terry Pratchett
It is amazing to look at the journey that Sam Vimes takes from Guards! Guards! to Snuff. The roots are there in the beginning, especially with the boots theory on how expensive it is to be poor. Here, I absolutely adore his relationship with Sybil!
#Books2025 #Murderbot 20: Artificial Condition by Martha Wells The part running down the sequence from the comfort units just hit me hard.
Oops. That was 19!
#Books2025 #ClanKorval 18: Fortune's Favors by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
#Books2025 #ClanKorval 18: The Gate that Locks the Tree by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller. A side adventure in the Liaden Universe. I was reading it with my cat Val Con curled up along side me and we are between a winter storm and a cold snap so the book felt very in the moment.
#Books2025 17: How to Steal a Galaxy by Beth Revis. Book 2 of the after the one that underwhelmed me. This one was a heist with a long con of some kind built in. I read this one straight through after struggling to finish book 1. Now it is waiting time until book 3 comes out.
So I knew the one character was playing the other characters, and just couldn't get into the story or have a feel for who were the good guys, or if there were bad guys or what was going on. Then at the very end of the book, the action kicked in and then it finished almost on a to be continued..
#Books2025 16: Full Speed to a Crash Landing. I wanted to love this book, I should have loved it, but it didn't just pull me into the world/story. Then it all accelerated enough at the end that I picked up the next book. So I'll see what happens next!
#Books2025 15: Unseen Academicals by Terry Pratchett. I actually finished this back on Sunday before the Superbowl, so it was quite the timely read.
