Production of the #Blakes7 Production Diary continues apace. Current page count: 336. Bonus points to anyone who can name the episode this Giant Space Button appeared in.
The #Blakes7 Production Diary has today just smashed through the 300 page mark, and we’ve only just started designing the final chapter. #LookAtTheSizeOfThatThing
Of little interest, I know. But when I’m working on the #Blakes7 Production Diary I always grab the headphones and listen to music REALLY loudly. The album I’ve listened to the most (by far) while I work on this book is Results by Liza Minnelli and Pet Shop Boys. Possibly the best album ever made.
Making the finishing design touches to Chapter 6 of the #Blakes7 Production Diary Series C. Despite being a short chapter - focussing on the cast and crew after Series C had wrapped - it's one of the most fascinating. Jonathan has written his magnum opus with this book. And it's coming soon...
A significant milestone reached today with production of the #Blakes7 Production Diary Series C. Chapter 5 is complete! 36,688 words, 411 (jaw dropping) images, and 145 pages of the book. And there are FIVE other chapters 😥 Publication day is now significantly closer.

It’s looking increasingly likely the Series D diary will be two volumes. There’s just far too much content for one book.
Strengthen those book shelves. The Series A Production Diary was 272 pages, Series B was 314 pages. As work continues on the ‘Blake’s 7 Production Diary Series C’ today, this volume is on track to be the biggest yet. It looks likely that it’ll be over 350 pages. #Blakes7
You will, I’m sure, be THRILLED to learn I found a coffee shop today in Manchester with lovely sandwiches, to-die-for cakes and - crucially - fast wifi. Therefore I was able to design another 6 pages of the #Blakes7 Production Diary Series C. #HappyPlace
I’m in a coffee shop in Manchester. Thought it would be a nice chance to do some pages of the #Blakes7 Production Diary Series C. It has no WiFi. It has a weak phone signal. I’m tearing my bloody hair out. Why does a high street coffee shop NOT have wifi? 🤬 #ThatchersBritain #RainbowWheelOfDeath
The #Blakes7 Production Diary Series C will be published on 31st March, 46 years to the day since the broadcast of ‘Terminal’. Cost/ordering details will be posted on the day. No need to pre-order as it's a print-to-order book. Keep an eye out for more updates. www.cultedge.art
We'll be revealing the publication date for the #Blakes7 Production Diary Series C at 7.15pm this evening.
If you’ve not picked up ‘Horizon 9’ by The British Stereo Collective do yourself a favour and grab it. It’s a beautiful love letter to the music of #Blakes7. Really touched at the dedication on the sleeve notes. Thanks @philheeks.bsky.social 😍 thebritishstereocollective.bandcamp.com/album/horizo...
Cold, dull and rainy January morning. Felt like a good time to watch Sapphire & Steel. ‘The Railway Station’ is the best television ghost story ever made. No notes. Perfection. It’s not celebrated nearly enough. Surely S&S is about due for the deluxe blu ray treatment. #culttv
Sitting in a beautiful cafe in Manchester working on the design of #Blakes7 Production Diary Series C. I’m about a quarter of the way through Chapter 5 (of 5). We’re getting there!
There are MANY beautiful full page spreads with images of Jacqueline 🙂
I recently tried to recreate the cover of the first issue of #Blakes7 Magazine from scratch. I think it turned out OK. Jonathan and I will be working on a brand new issue of the magazine once we have the Series C Production Diary done.
Happy 50th Birthday, Rentaghost👻 I had such an affection for this show when I was little. And also for Michael Staniforth's Timothy Claypole, who was a cheeky presence in my childhood for years. A blu-ray collection would be wonderful, and a doc on Michael's life would be most welcome. #Rentaghost
Busily working on the design of the upcoming #Blakes7 Production Diary Series C. I think this might be my favourite page so far. I LOVE Jacqueline Pearce 😍 📙 www.cultedge.art 📙
Happy 48th birthday to the best TV show of the last 48 years. #Blakes7
🔔Happy New Year🔔 Work continues this month to complete the Blake’s 7 Production Diary Series C (I’m working on it today!). After that a new issue of Blake’s 7 Magazine, and then - finally - the first issue of Cult Edge Magazine, celebrating the wider world of cult TV. We hope you’ll join us in ‘26!
Record cover showing BBC sci-fi Blake’s 7’s Supreme Commander Servalan and Psychostrategist Carnell. The photo is surrounded by a thick white border. At the top left of the border is the word “Federation” in dark purple lettering, and vertically down the right birder is the EP title in the same lettering.

12.
My pick for genius release of 2025 is:
‘Marked To Kill’.
By Federation ( @philheeks.bsky.social - British Stereo Collective).
On BSC Records.
An EP inspired by the Blake’s 7 Series B episode 'Weapon', and it’s a synth-pop gem!👇

Happy Christmas! Hope it's a good one. Thanks for your support and kind words this year. Lots to come in 2026, but for now we're putting our feet up, cracking open the Quality Street and getting ready for 'Blake's 7 Exodus' on Christmas Eve courtesy of Jonathan Helm. 🎄Grahame x
The two “Blake’s 7 Production Diary” books for Series A and B side-by-side on a table.
To show off the difference in heft of the Series B book, the two diaries are stood upright on a table back-to-back.
Here’s the conclusion of he explosive special effects story that was mentioned in an earlier toot. “The cameras start rolling, and Pegrum presses the detonation button. Suddenly, an enormous ball of fire shoots into the air, far larger than anyone expected. The wind, unfortunately, begins to blow it towards the crew who are watching. Godfrey pans his camera upwards, but the fireball is so massive he can't find the top of it. Realising the danger, Godfrey quickly abandons the camera and runs just as the fireball engulfs it. When he returns later, he discovers that the camera has stopped working, its wiring and battery cables melted by the intense heat.”
🔖 That’s a wrap on the “Blake’s 7 Production Diary Seres B” book from @cultedge.bsky.social 👏😍
Absolutely outstanding from start to finish, this is an essential book for any fan of the show’s library collection. I have loved its stories.
