Police Fermanagh & Omagh Can you help? We are investigating after a woman reported that a man had exposed himself and enqaged in a sex act in front of her in the Lovers Retreat area of Omagh at around 6pm on Saturday 18 April. An immediate search of the area did not locate the suspect and we are now asking anyone who was in the area and who may have seen anything that could assist our enquiries to get in touch. We are especially keen to hear from a woman who assisted the reporting person and accompanied her out of the park. The female witness is believed to have been walking a border collie called Milo. The number to call with any info is 101, quoting reference number 1357 18/04/26 or vou can submit online via https://orlo.uk/XNB3j

I’ve had my microwave since 2009. It's now knackered..I ordered a new microwave today.
I can tell I'm old, because I'm excited to get a new microwave.
My sitting in my powered wheelchair wearing a yellow safety vest is in front of several buses at a transit station. Text reads: "World Public Transport Day: Progress Matters But We're Not There Yet.
World Public Transport Day
Transport should mean freedom.
For disabled people, it often means uncertainty.
Progress is happening. But accessibility still isn’t guaranteed.

At the reopening of the Public Inquiry in Omagh today, standing with Save Our Sperrins and local campaigners.
The risks to our environment and water are too high.
This goldmine would directly impact my respiratory health.

I don't often say this, but today has been a rare good day.

This week, I spoke on the Save Our Sperrins podcast about the parallels of my campaigning for deaf and disabled rights, with the campaign to protect the Sperrins from industrialisation.

Happy Easter everyone.
Hope you get a decent break this weekend.
I’m taking a bit of personal time too.
Might see the odd message, but I’m off-work for a few days.
Back soon 👍

A person in a powered wheelchair moves through an airport terminal. Text reads: "When a Wheelchair User Boarding a Flight Becomes Fatal. MYWAY ACCESS.
This is a warning.
A disabled man died during a plane transfer.
Not an isolated incident. A system failure.
This risk exists in the UK and Ireland too.
“Nothing went wrong” isn’t safety.

Clocks go forward 1 hour Sunday at 1am.
You lose an hour.
We lose routine, stability, control.
Missed meds. Exhaustion. Days thrown off.
It’s not about how much time you have.
It’s how it affects others.
“Just an hour” can be the difference between coping and not.
A single wooden desk and chair with a blue backpack in an empty classroom. Text reads: "Known Failures. No Action. Disabled Children Pay the Price. MYWAY ACCESS.
Not safety. Failure.
They knew.
Did nothing.
Now families pay.

Started writing the odd blog again and honestly, I’ve missed it.
Thinking of making it regular. Maybe twice a month.
Not just disabled issues. My take on whatever’s happening in the world.
Though let’s be real, disability will probably feature heavily.
Worth doing?
A young me wearing a medical halo brace is shown in an inset over a background of the old Duke of Gloucester Ward from 1991 at Stanmore Hospital in Middlesex England text reads, “35 Years Ago: The Surgery That Shaped My Fight, MYWAY ACCESS.”.
35 years ago today, I had spinal surgery that changed my life.
It shaped how I see access, inclusion and why I challenge systems today.
This isn’t theory. It’s lived experience.

Yesterday was one of those real, honest days.
Up to Belfast City Hospital for a check up on my Morquio, a few things to watch but not bad going.
Stopped at the Glenavon Hotel, staff were brilliant.

This will prevent many manu people people put into vunerable positions and coercion.
I'm all for people making their own choices, but not if it takes other people's freedom of choice away
Pure news from Scotland on St Patrick’s Day
I hope this is replicated in the House of Lords for England and Wales.
A dangerous act that makes so many disabled people vunerable.

Proud of who we are, and still fighting for a more equal, inclusive Ireland
Celebrate today, but don’t forget those who are still struggling to be heard
A person in a wheelchair faces rows of international flags outside a large building; a banner discusses My Way Access's response to a disability strategy consultation.
My Way Access has published a working draft of our response to the Draft NI Executive Disability Strategy 2025–2035.
We were part of the co-design group and believe Deaf and Disabled people deserve better.

What's everyone's favourite foreign film? Mines is Back to the Future.
I had a Rock Road today. Nothing more to add, other than it was chocolatey goodness.
I was on the original co-design panel for the Disability Strategy.
This draft is a huge disappointment.
Disabled people deserve real action, not weak words and empty promises.

Screen capture from Financial Times US oil groups in line for $63bn windfall from Gulf war disruption American producers will be among biggest beneficiaries if crude prices average $100 a barrel this year
Look at the obscene profits oil companies are raking in as war pushes oil prices through the roof.
And we’re still supposed to believe this war is about “freedom”? Don’t insult our intelligence.

Apres Match: Northern Ireland Sports Results
This popped into my memory this morning again, so watched it again.
20 years old and still makes me roar with laughter.
Today I let my raw emotions out in a MS Teams meeting.
Stuff that has been bubbling away in me for 18 months came rushing to the surface.
No regrets, but that where I am these days.
Controversial opinion, but 'Sister Act 2' and 'School of Rock' are essentially the same film.
