Progress has been slow but steady with my #Pillar-Run #TTRPG.
The #roguelike aspects are not easy to put in place without having a sort of "example run" ready.
But i have made template character and monster sheets so i should be getting to the testing soon enough !
I decided to post my #DnD5e #Homebrew on Reddit to try and get some feedback, if you got some, you can comment there !

finally started watching #theamazingdigitalcircus and i'm pleasantly surprised. Don't get me wrong, i knew it was good, i'm just glad it's not just endless existential/psychological horror.
My #DnD5e #Homebrew modular weapon crafting system is about halfway done. The whole thing is designed and i'm reading back through it as i format it for the PDF.
I have done some progress in my #D&D #homebrew creations in tools and modular weapons.
At the moment i'm a lil stuck on crossbows, making a modular crafting system for them is more difficult than i thought...
I did it ! i beat #ultrakill 's new layer without assist. 8-3 is still a bloody headache, especially the one room with the deathcatcher.
otherwise, the rest of it grew on me. a challenge i won't Perfect for the sake of my sanity.
i know the feeling, don't burn yourself out on worrying and i wish you luck in finding a better job !
I love #ULTRAKILL but i have never been so overwhelmed with so much shit happening on screen at once.
The distance in difficulty between violence and fraud layers got me to use assist to slow things down in 8-3.
It's an amazing update, with great mechanics that taught me to admit defeat lol
If you could add any armor type to your #D&D game be it historical of fantastical, which one would it be ?
#homebrew #TTRPG
Currently working on a modular armour crafting system for #D&D5e.
So far what i have is a layered system with under armour and plates with various other addons.
Finally started posting on Drivethru RPG. A bit of a weird process to upload the first part of Tools of the trades but we'll see how it goes.
(can't link yet because there is an approval time and idk if i did everything right)

Started working on part 3 of the tools of the trades, my #DnD #Homebrew to create modular crafting systems for the game.
This next part will be smithing, tinkering and leatherworker. Giving the ability to create modular weapon (melee, bows, crossbows and guns !)

Hello, I love the homebrewery and have been using for about half a year but it seems like the PDF version has an issue, with white bars appearing.
Is it a problem on my side or is it just the homebrewery pages being smaller scale ?
Tools of the Trades part 2 is finished !

I wonder which next 3 tools to put in my next #DnD #homebrew PDF ๐ค
Part 1 was everything you need to keep an inn
Part 2 is about preparing for a journey
And now onto part 3...
What tools would you be interested to see ?
The first page with another wonderful painting from the public domain "Interior of a cobbler's shop" by David Ryckaert III
Made a lot of progress on the #homebrew #DnD stuff front. With the PDF for weaver, cobbler and cartographer's crafting systems soon to be completed.
Just need to re-read and get some art !
Despite my very small footprint i want to share this : www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwB3...
There is a necessity to get eyes on one of the largest online scams there is and the attempts by those companies at silencing the truth. #honey #paypal
It's a bit of a shame that @larianstudios.com uses AI as part of their process.
I understand that they hire artists and that AI is in the early steps but one thing i love about concept art is seeing the specific references for the work with the final product.
the reference being AI is pretty lame.
On the big question about making a #TTRPG :
Imperial or metric ?
I'm french, i use metric in my life but in years playing #D&D I learned how to use imperial.
Now that i'm making #Pillar-run i wonder which i should choose.๐ค
Still working on #Pillar-run #TTRPG I'm finished with most of the early rules. I'm soon going to test them with a small scale play-test with my players.
The first public play-test should be happening early 2026 !
I decided to overextend myself on a project which means learning #code I've set my sights on #python because the internet says it's the easiest.
Is there any tool/App/website/youtube channel that i can use to learn Python from utter beginner ?
Or at least i'll try until i decide i got better things to do lol
The problem with loot tables is that they are too simple for my purposes.
I need something that relates to the theme of each locations and that allows for the use of the weapon crafting system i made.
With some odd items added on.
I could make it work, simplify it to tables, but i'll learn code.
The problem i encounter now is the need to remain fast pace.
20 locations is too much for that, for a 4 hour game, you'll have about 10 minutes per location.
I lowered it to 15 with optional encounters to reach higher levels.
Then there is the loot...
I managed to spend some time on the spell crafting system for my roguelike TTRPG project #Pillar-run, it'll need A LOT of testing but i got it's general identity.
Now i have the choice for the next steps :
- Stamina abilities
- The Dungeon
- Archetypes
- Loot tables
Decided to post the first steps of the system and my thought process so far, Making #Pillar-run #TTRPG 's building a public one.
I'll keep y'all updated with my progress on the systems and maps for this project !
Hope you follow me in the journey!

These modules should be simple and easy to shift around to avoid rule ambiguity or an excessive amount of maths to understand what a spell would do.
This will also come from rule restrictions that i'll put on the side in case DMs want to have a headache.
