My last ever seminar at the University of Sussex, after 15 years. It’s been an incredible journey, working with wonderful colleagues and teaching so many students who I have learnt so much from. Not sure yet what the next chapter will bring but I’m positive it will be something just as fulfilling. 🙏

I don’t understand how the farm inheritance tax is any different from other forms of inheritance tax. Many people will have to sell the family home (estate) if they don’t have the money to pay the tax. Why should people who inherit vast amounts of land/assets because it is a farm?

Musk thinks that social liberalism would be fatal to the USA’s future prosperity - referring to Norway as an apparent example! Yet Norway has:
- 20% higher av income
- 5 yrs higher life expectancy
- 10% lower cost of living
- Better healthcare
- Lower poverty levels
- Higher happiness levels
