IT'S FUCKING ARIES SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my time now
This year's recurring theme has been about recommitting to joy and chasing what feels good and makes me happy. That kind of curiosity and energy reminds me of when I first started making comics and art.
For my newsletter I wrote about *sigh* Hasan Piker. I get into why he is so popular and why Democratic centrists are so desperate to muzzle him. www.burnsnotice.com/hasan-piker-...
Armageddon is terrible, but our only other option was diversity trainings at work.
This is devastating news.
The first THYME TRAVELLERS anthology is absolutely incredible! I'm so excited to see a second volume.
The two truths:
1) There is nothing wrong with porn, let people safely make it, let people safely enjoy it.
2) If you let people define porn as bad, authoritarians will ALWAYS expand the definition until their hands are around your neck.
Shep begins tracking Wayne through the forest via drops of blood, paw prints, clumps of fur. She finds a big puddle of blood and a broken arrow.

With the HP trailer dropping tomorrow, here's the whole deal:
If you watch the show, hell even just the trailer, I will think less of you. I will dislike you. I will think you don't care about trans people.
That's it. It's been years. There's no wiggle room. No qualifiers. You care or you don't.

“I will NOT sacrifice the Oxford comma. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They assimilate the em dash and we fall back. They capture ‘not just X but y’ and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!”

I am in an emergency situation where I need to raise $500 at the start of this month, and I'm stressed about it. I'm still looking for work. I'm seeing a physical therapist for my shoulder injury. Please help me keep going
It just does NOT have to be this way!
Dear Samantha, I am writing to you as a follow-up to our previous correspondence regarding concerns you shared with the Patient Representative team beginning March 17, 2026, related to your attempt to schedule a consultation with the [REDACTED] clinic. You shared concerns regarding the clinic's use of body mass index (BMI) criteria for elective surgical referrals, the way this information was communicated, and difficulty identifying how to escalate concerns or submit a complaint during your initial phone call. Your concerns have received additional review with clinic operational leadership, medical leadership, and the [REDACTED] ADA Regulatory Coordinator. As previously explained, the [REDACTED] service line applies BMI-related eligibility criteria for elective surgical consultations as part of a comprehensive pre-operative risk assessment. These criteria are used to help reduce known risks associated with anesthesia, wound healing, and post-operative complications and are applied consistently as part of standard referral review processes. While national professional organizations do not establish universal BMI thresholds, they support individualized risk assessment and optimization of modifiable risk factors prior to elective procedures. Based on this review, the referral determination was found to be consistent with established clinic criteria and processes. Your feedback regarding communication and access to escalation pathways has also been reviewed. Patients should be able to request information on how to raise concerns or seek additional assistance, and your experience has been shared with clinic leadership to reinforce expectations around clear communication and escalation guidance, with the goal of improving the experience for future patients.
This correspondence concludes [REDACTED] review of the concerns raised and serves as our final response regarding this grievance. While we recognize that you may not agree with the outcome, we appreciate the opportunity to review your feedback thoroughly. Our commitment is to review all patient concerns thoroughly. Enclosed is information about the [REDACTED] Patient Complaint and Grievance Procedure for your reference.
After a "formal review process," I received a response from clinic and organizational leadership this morning standing behind their bullshit BMI requirement.
I suspect they think I'll go away, but I am discussing escalation with an expert. Fat patients deserve equal access to care! More to come.
If you're not masking in public, you're not "radical" in any way, shape, or form. :)

Calling your reps is a great starting step to fight for something you care about. It's fast. It's easy.
If you follow me, then you care about literature. Bc it matters. It saves lives. It's time to fight for it.
Literature is the house we built, & I'll be damned if I let these weenies burn it down
I keep seeing "all authors use AI, the real issue is they're being forced to be sneaky about it" headlines.
Full stop No. This is a lie peddled for normalization. It's schoolyard-level pressure tactics "C'mon, all the cool kids are already doing it. We won't tell. It's fine. We're on your side."
the correct way to celebrate april fool's day is to surprise your favorite artists by tipping them
