I nearly gave up on Room 21 by Jessica Huntley โit started slow and didnโt grab me at first. But Iโm so glad I stuck with it, because it really picked up and pulled me in. By the end, I was hooked. Definitely worth pushing through the slow start.

I loved Project Hail Maryโthe book pulled me in instantly with its science, humour, and heart. It even made me watch the film. The adaptation wasnโt perfect, but I still enjoyed seeing the story brought to life on screen.

I couldnโt put Dark River Inn down. The eerie setting pulled me in straight away, and the tension built brilliantly throughout. I was slightly disappointed by the overuse of the supernatural at the end, but it still left a lasting impression.

I enjoyed The 100 book series by Kass Morgan fast-paced, character-driven, and more emotional than I expected. The relationships felt deeper and more personal. The TV show was great too, but the books had a charm and intimacy I preferred.
I actually read them a while ago.

I absolutely loved Find Him Where You Left Him Dead by Kristen Simmons. It pulled me in straight away with its eerie atmosphere and constant tension. I kept second-guessing everything and couldnโt stop turning the pages. Dark, clever, and seriously addictive from start to finish

You got that right! Lost count of how many times I thought I figured it out, turns out I was wrong every time ๐. Never expected how this one ended.
I just finished The Inmate by Freida McFadden. my first of her books. I flew through it in almost one sitting. Fast-paced, tense and full of twists that kept me second-guessing everything. If her other thrillers are like this, Iโll definitely be reading more

Terminus by Peter Clines is everything I wanted from a finale.Tense, clever, and packed with that cosmic weirdness that defines the Threshold series. It ties the threads together perfectly while still delivering big moments and genuine heart. A brilliant, satisfying ending

I jumped into Dead Moon knowing itโs part of the Threshold series, and it delivered pulpy sci-fi horror fast. Lunar isolation, dark humor, and creeping dread blend well. Not my favorite Threshold book, but itโs tense, fun, and adds weird depth to the wider universe.

I loved The Fold. It starts like grounded sci-fi, then quietly spirals into cosmic horror. The mystery builds fast, the ideas get wild, and by the end I was hooked, unsettled, and questioning reality in the best way. Started Dead Moon. Next in the series

Fast, funny, and proudly low-stress. The Kaiju Preservation Society is pure popcorn sci-fi. big monsters, smart banter, zero pretension. Wil Wheatonโs narration leans into Scalziโs snarky charm, making it an easy, feel-good listen with just enough heart and chaos.

Yes! I only found out after finishing 14. They've been added to my list ๐
100% Ray Porter is really easy to listen to, nails the characters, and slowly cranks up the creepiness without overdoing it. First time I've listened to a book with him narrating. Liked him so much I've searched more of his work. Turns out he narrates alot of Peter Clines's books so it works for me๐
Oo I'm listening to a Will Weaton one at the minute - "The Kaiju Preservation Society" by John Scalzi. So far, I really like it!
Yes! After finishing 14 I looked at what else Peter Clines has written and found the series is called "The Threshold Series/Universe". Its 4 books based in the same universe.
1. 14
2. The Fold
3. Dead Moon
4. Terminus
They'll keep me busy for a while ๐
I was super excited when I learnt that it was part a series. They are now on my list to listen to next!
14 by Peter Clines is a clever, slow-burn blend of mystery and cosmic horror. What starts as quirky apartment oddities spirals into a chilling Lovecraftian reveal, driven by strong characters, humour, and an unsettling sense of the unknown.

Gripping and relentlessly tense, The Ratcatcher on Audible is a dark psychological thriller that slowly tightens its grip. The narration is excellent, pulling you into a bleak, unsettling world of moral ambiguity, disturbing twists, and a sense of dread that lingers long after the end.

I really liked it. It captures the suspense and emotion perfectly. It was narrated by Charlie Sanderson and Philip Stevens. I would definitely recommend giving it a go.
The Guilty Mother by Dianne Jeffrey is a gripping psychological thriller about grief, guilt, and a motherโs desperate search for truth. Twists keep you doubting every characterโs motives until the very end. Heartbreaking, tense, and full of moral dilemmas.

Behind a Locked Door by Sarah A. Denzil is a tense, gripping psychological thriller. Twists come fast, secrets unravel slowly, and the claustrophobic atmosphere keeps you guessing. Some parts feel far-fetched, but itโs an addictive, chilling read thatโs hard to put down.

So true
The whole production was really well done. Would definitely recommend
I really enjoyed Outland by Dennis E. Taylor at first โ great premise, pacing, and world-building. Sadly, I stopped at chapter 56 when needless Islamophobic tropes appeared (Hamas attacking Israel, Iran invading Iraq). It ruined what had been a smart, engaging story.

The Safe Man (Audible Original) is a tense, claustrophobic thriller that blends mystery with psychological dread. A locksmithโs simple job turns into a nightmare of secrets and paranoia. Compact, unsettling, and brilliantly performed โ perfect for fans of twisty short listens.

The Chateau is a dark, tension-filled thriller in the same vein as Gone Girl. Itโs packed with secrets, shifting loyalties, and sharp psychological twists. The audiobookโs pacing and performances pull you in and keep you second-guessing everyone right up to the end.

Stolen Girl by Sarah A. Denzil is a dark, emotional, and gripping follow-up that matches the intensity of the first book. The tension builds beautifully, with twists that hit hard and characters that feel painfully real. Denzil once again proves sheโs a master of psychological suspense.

The Silent Child by Sarah A. Denzil had me hooked from the start, but the ending really broke me. A heartbreaking, emotional thriller about a motherโs worst nightmare and the secrets that haunt a small town. I felt every page. Definitely recommend

Michael Yorkeโs series by Wes Markin blends gripping suspense with layered characters, balancing dark twists and human emotion. Each book deepens the intrigue while keeping the pace taut. A must-read for fans of atmospheric thrillers that stay with you long after the last page.

The Tide by Anthony J. Melchiorri promised cutting-edge biotech horror but instead delivered bloated, clichรฉ-ridden writing. Long-winded prose drags every scene, and the constant โrah-rahโ American tone makes it feel shallow. Whatever tension it had was lost. Stopped halfway

Jeff Manapaceโs Dark Halls is a chilling psychological horror that blends supernatural dread with human darkness. Suspenseful, unsettling, and full of twists, it keeps readers hooked while delivering both eerie atmosphere and shocking revelations.
