Very welcome. Quitting alchohol was maybe 20+ DAY ONE. cold turkey for anx/depress/sleepers was a real hurdle. After nearly 100 hours zero sleep there was about 18 months to be “normal” again. All i can say is the buck STOPS with you and you have to find your own way out regardless of facilities. GL

Meds free, alc free 7 years, the black dog appears on the horizon sometimes but I have my immediate coping strategies. I was in “the wilderness” for 6 years. In danger of being the happiest I’ve been in 67 years. EVERY day is a fresh chance to be DAY 1. Paddling, find the BEST sandwiches!

Getting out of bed and cleaning my teeth was my first positive step. Congrats on the sandwich!

I found once past 20 or more day 1.. just a case of due diligence and get past 30 x 1 minute gasps with growing confidence. At the end of the day, its down to the individual in every case
