i won't be able to open commissions up again for some time, but i could really use some financial help right now

in a world where life moves too quickly, with a lot of harmful and perpetuating events/people that only help grow these demons more

a place where ube and atis aren’t used to, somewhere i wasn’t used to until i was forced to live it

i just haven’t really written a story like this before, with only some experience in writing characters, rp’ing and writing short stories

but it’s been something lingering on my mind ever since ube - a story exploring identity, stigma and the difficulty of navigating depression and anxiety -

i have to flesh out more details though, since the idea for the story is ube and atis stumbling upon other places and worlds that aren’t theirs and have to help people literally fight their demons

it’s the question of how they can adapt to such a rapid and overwhelming culture that we can barely do

i think the setting would be interesting as an influence for how ube and atis act, with the former focusing on healing, enchantment, self-reflection, and spirituality

the latter would be more combat based, in tune with nature and its risks, but with a level of mythical influence too

i’ve been trying to work more on worldbuilding and details for ube and atis’ home, since they live in the same town

what i got so far is that they’re in a dense town that is reminiscent of the arts and crafts/arts nouveau period - very self-sufficient, expressive and not modern tech-focused
