Generally speaking, #GenZ are pretty strongly anti-genocide and anti-apartheid. But it also seems a lot of Gen-Z men are sexist and anti-feminist. This article has made me less hopeful about young men than I had been.

#InAViolentNature is a slasher film that gives about zero background to the victims, because in slasher movies - the victims are bland, interchangeable, and disposable. The killer knows nothing about his victims - so we don’t either. BUT we root for the killer - because he’s SLIGHTLY interesting. Ⓐ
Saw #InAViolentNature - a good slasher movie that is filmed from the viewpoint of a supernatural psychopath. So between kills, he’s walking around in the woods - looking for people to kill. So the film gives us an idea of how hulking/lumbering movie psychopaths like #JasonVoorhees pass the time. Ⓐ
Re-watched #PerditaDurango - starring #RosiePerez (she portrays an intimidating psychopath). My fave character in the film? The DEA agent portrayed by #JamesGandolfini - he’s comedy relief, as the DEA guy is continually/hilariously getting injured, shot at while running around in a neckbrace, etc. Ⓐ
So the theatrical (aka censored aka recut) cut of #ToBeTwenty is so disjointed (and sanitized) it’s almost incomprehensible. The director’s cut is anti-cop. But in the theatrical cut, the protagonists are RESCUED by the police (before they could be harmed, though the cops later try to frame them). Ⓐ
Wasn’t sure what to expect with the theatrical cut (aka the censored cut) of #ToBeTwenty. I half expected the female protagonists’ memorable/empowering slogan “I’m young, hot, and pissed off!” to be deleted from the film. The ultimate disgrace, is that the version I saw is ONLY in dubbed English. Ⓐ

#SheHateMe is the first time I recall seeing #IsiahWhitlockJr in a movie. His character says “Sheeeeeeee-it” a few times - which is for our benefit, moreso than that of anyone in the movie. The first time he said it, I was excited I FINALLY heard Whitlock deliver his trademark line in a movie! Ⓐ
And I’m aware that in the film #SheHateMe - there’s more going on with the male prostitute’s new “job” than I implied. Because he isn’t just fucking the women, they want to be impregnated by him (so each client pays BIG BUCKS, but get a full refund if they aren’t pregnant after several fuckings). Ⓐ
The movie #SheHateMe is supposed to be a comedy - though I rarely laughed, because the film is so grim/depressing. Overall, I say the film is shitty - and beCOMES boring/cheesy/preachy after the corporate whistleblower (aka the protagonist) is fired and begins his new career as a prostitute. Ⓐ
A memorable line in the film #SheHateMe - when the extremely uncomfortable protagonist is showing off his nude body for his female clients, one woman says “Now you know what it feels like to be a sexual object.” It’s a case of a man getting an idea of what it’s like to be a woman, in our society. Ⓐ
In the film #SheHateMe - it only shows “the up side” (from the typical/naive male perspective) of prostitution. Saw #SheHateMe - a #SpikeLee film expressing his disgust with the #Enron scandal (and corporate America in general). Another theme of the film - is the commodification of physically and mentally gifted humans. In our dog-eat-dog World, many humans are forced to resort to prostitution - to get by. Ⓐ
One thing about the movie #HerNameWasChrista - the john is uncomfortable to hit on female co-workers if he’s “old enough to be their father”. But he hires female prostitutes - even though he’s “old enough to be their father”. And then he manipulates one prostitute into falling in love with him. Ⓐ
“We were supposed to have a future together,” says the sobbing john, in the movie #HerNameWasChrista, when he sees his overdosed prostitute/lover. I’m not trying to be harsh - but dude, what kind of future were you expecting? That’s when the movie goes #Nekromantik - a better movie than this one. Ⓐ
So in the film #HerNameWasChrista, the weaselly john deploys a trick - sleeping in bed with a prostitute, WITHOUT fucking her. I can see a virgin (or a genuine empath) doing something similar - before actually fucking their lover in the near-future. But I refuse to believe the john is an empath. Ⓐ
Perhaps the thing I find most offensive about the movie #HerNameWasChrista - is that they try to portray the john as an empath. Well, being an empath certainly isn’t a guarantee you’ll be desirable to women - even though this movie absurdly implies you will. Ⓐ
In the film #HerNameWasChrista, the future john says he won’t hit on a female co-worker - because he’s “old enough to be her father”. Fair enough. But moments later in the film, we see the future john browsing profiles on a dating website - and he is old enough to be the father of ALL those women. Ⓐ
So the dude who portrays the john in the movie #HerNameWasChrista wrote, directed, and starred in the movie (as the main character). Why am I not surprised? “I’m afraid I’m not much of a conversationalist,” says the john. Why am I not surprised the john is speaking like a robot? Ⓐ
The movie #HerNameWasChrista is lonely male (often #Incel) wish fulfillment - that the HOT prostitute will fall in love with the lonely (and physically unattractive) john. “If only she can see what I’m REALLY like”, he thinks. But when these men are rejected by ANY woman - they go FULL MISOGYNIST. Ⓐ
