Note to self: next time, do it in the kitchen sink (some kind of metal) not the bathtub (some kind of vinyl coating ooops).

Just followed instructions to remove a heat sealed vinyl print on a hoodie. Instructions did say, well ventilated area, instructions were definitely not wrong wow.

I'd forgotten how good it is, and am really enjoying my re-read. I saw the costumes from the TV show in a recent exhibition which prompted me.

Morning Womble, I'm bothered by the tree pollen but good other than that, and hope you are too!

I'm continuing my slow read through AK Faulkner's Inheritance books, currently Wheel of Fate, and my library ebook Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. Both going slower than I'd like due to various issues.

We have a chance of removing the Online Safety Act!

Any UK residents, PLEASE take the time to fill out the whole form. If we want to remove ID verification on websites that actually don't need it, we need to take action NOW!

I never realised when I learned to knit, and also when I learned to cross stich, crochet, and sew tapestry, that my ability to count reliably and consistently to 3 has been over estimated.

For "3" please substitute another number that is small but important for your pattern, if necessary.

Took the time at lunch as I'm wfh today to look in the places it should be. Think I maybe lent it to my mum ah. Sooo my ancient and long neglected rav login has provided me with pdfs phew. Also a headache but that is what "new" rav does for me :(

My shawl pattern book has gone missing, so it's a good thing I have time to find it....

Just ordered yarn so I can knit a Dr Who scarf. Oddly, then in my basket the colours look really similar to the ones in my shawl that I take to various conventions, that goes with my cosplays. So I may tweak the pattern a bit and later make a matchy shawl too?

Oh no! I wish you a speedy recovery, and that it is mild.

Morning Womble, I'm good and hope you are too. Currently working my way through AK Faulkner's Wheel of Fate, and also Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, which is a library ebook. i have inadvertently taken out 3 chonky ebooks from the library, and think I will need to renew them.

Bought myself a cheap wireless speaker so I'm not tethered to my phone/cables when listening to podcasts. So, now I can get on with spindle spinning without the fear I'll spin my headphone cable into the fibre!

Photo shows my cable needle case open, with all the multicoloured cable needles on display. Most of them have a triangle shaped bend in the middle, but there are a few traditional straight ones, and also there are two plastic needles for sewing up chunky yarns.

Today's #ShowMeYourKnits is cables. I have no cable knitting on the needles right now, but I am prepared for my next cable project, I have a cable needle case and therefore can find my cable needles!

Can I recommend the Japanese Gateway which is an under rated attraction there, or possibly the cherry tree blossom extravaganza behind the Palm House (unless you suffer from tree related hay fever like me). For fun and giggles, feed the fish in the pond outside the National Archives, they like peas.

Note to self: probably not a good idea to read smut on a crowded busy train with a stranger on the seat next to me... Time to switch back to my library book which I believe has none in.

Morning Womble, I'm good and awake what feels like far too early! Hope you're well too.

I have moved onto AK Faulkner's Wheel of Fate, and having bought myself a kobo on sale my library book reading of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell is speeding along. I'd really forgotten how very good it is.

Well I've just got a shiny new kobo and this is of interest to me :)

I wish you a very happy birthday!

I have my library ebooks on my new kobo and am very happy. My birthday isn't until May so I've got plenty of time to really familiarise myself with my new ereader :)

My birthday present to myself this year is a kobo. They don't just take drm free ebooks, but I believe they will display ebooks from ebooks.com and also library books, and I'm happy to give it a thorough trial.

Re: my last reposts

“Do not put money in the pocket of a woman who has sworn publicly to use it to disenfranchise vulnerable populations” is the smallest ask imaginable. It’s not oxygen, it’s not food. It’s television. You can do without. There are thousands of other shows for you to watch.

I didn't go this year, because of this reason. I go to the autumn one (which is in a larger location) on a Friday, get in as it opens, and leave by mid day.

Book banning has reached our shores, and we need to act fast What starts with books, never ends with books
