In such awe of this film! Left me speechless.. Brody is brilliant..Felicity Jones’ best work to date and I’m so glad to see Guy Pearce getting overdue praise… Ny personal Best Picture of 2024
Living in South Alabama , our theaters are always late to the game when it comes to certain movies (if we even get to see them at all). So Glad I finally get to check this one off my list this weekend! #TheBrutalist
"Nickel Boys" is a breathtaking cinematic achievement. RaMell Ross crafts an unforgettable narrative that blends stunning camerawork with poignant storytelling. This film will one day be regarded as a masterpiece in cinema history, It left me emotionally stirred and in awe of its craft #NickelBoys
Never in a millions would I have believed I would have liked this film as much as I did! It was a complete blast and had me quite emotional throughout…Already contemplating seeing it again soon! #Betterman
Definitely should have been nominated and would have been my number one pick to win as well
Gorgeous animation and a hypnotic score make Flow seem like your in a 1hr 30min dream state…. A beautiful film that is so deserving of all the recognition it’s getting this year!
My top 10 of 2024
"Babygirl" is a knock out of the park for all involved. It's sexy, fierce, and intense. Kidman once again demonstrates why she remains one of the most
exciting actresses of our time, while Dickinson's devilishly seductive performance would have had me also eagerly complying with his every command.
Carry On had no business being as good as it is. A fun and thrilling ride all the way through.. Never takes itself too serious.. and also having Danielle Deadwyler in your cast is always a plus.
Joan Allen and Angela Basset!!! I’m here for it!
It doesn’t carry the same weight as the Gladiator (an all timer) but it’s still so damn entertaining!
One of my favorite wins of the last ten years..I think she brought some much ferocity to the screen that there was denying she was taking that win.
1)LOTR: The Return of The King
2) The Deer Hunter
3) Titanic
4) Doctor Zhivago
Absolutely adore her in this… and it’s one of my favorite films. She would have been my runner up behind Mcdormand who had my vote for the win.
Exactly!
Still waiting to see Maria.. I already know by the trailers that it is going to jump up to one my favorite performances of her.
She was my choice for winner that year.
No surprise here.. All three of these podcasts are the highlight of my week! #NextBestPicture #AndtheRunnerUpIs #ThisHadOscarBuzz
What are four Christmas movies to know you by? #filmsky
I really wanted to love this movie… Huge Steve McQueen fan, huge Saoirse Ronan fan, huge fan of World War II films ….But Blitz just never had an emotional landing for me.. It wasn’t bad at all but sadly just unremarkable.
Hoping she gets nominated for this year. She is fantastic!.. and her not getting nominated for Till was a travesty so I hope they make up for it here.
Introduce yourself with four movies.
If you see this, post a gif of your favourite doctor.
