I’m VERY disappointed that he’s not thanking anyone for their attention to this matter any longer.

Every one of us should clearly and constantly condemn his assassination and any political violence when it happens. That should not be controversial. But voting for this resolution puts words in my mouth that I endorse Charlie Kirk's views, when I wholly and fundamentally in my bones am in strong opposition to most of his views.
1 am deeply worried for our country as Republicans are now trying to strip free speech from anyone who criticizes the views he espoused, pushing to pull licenses from TV stations because comedians make jokes, even if some consider them tasteless or disagreeable. The First Amendment gives every person the right to free speech, full stop.
I would have gladly voted for a resolution that simply condemned his assassination just as I condemned the assassination of Minnesota State Senator Melissa Hortman. Democrats have introduced exactly such a resolution, and I hope we can bring that to the floor, so l can enthusiastically cast a YES vote to condemn the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Jayapal Statement on Charlie Kirk - Resolution
Charlie Kirk's death is a tragedy, as is any death in this country due to political violence or gun violence. His murder should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and his wife, children, and supporters deserve justice. Every one of us, as elected officials, has the responsibility to condemn all political violence from wherever it comes. Congress should have been voting on a unifying resolution to do just that - condemning the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk, without lionizing his highly controversial speech or actions.
Unfortunately, this Republican resolution was designed as a political 'gotcha'- trying to force every member of Congress to lift up the views of Charlie Kirk rather than simply condemning his assassination. I cannot do that.
This resolution does nothing to send a unified message to the country, to prevent further violence, or to turn down the temperature.

Just for the record: alt4me summons human volunteers, while alt-text dot bsky dot social is the bot that does ocr for text-only images. 👍🏾

Anyway. Back to configuring SSH keys.

If you choose to try it, you may not be able to roll back if you don’t do it soon. Apple tends to stop signing their older operating systems pretty quickly after each new release to prevent users from downgrading.

Cool. Thanks for the info!

I keep forgetting that not everyone is like me, living on the bleeding edge of iOS updates. 😂

So if you find a post that lives somewhere…anywhere in a thread, you tap the Share icon and select the “Start Of Thread” item. It’ll find the root post in that thread and open it up. Doesn’t matter whose post it is or how many posts separate them. 🤷🏾‍♂️

It does??

Hey @baileytownsend.dev: question for you…does AT Toolbox require Apple Intelligence?

Welp. This works, but not without AT Toolbox. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Alice is EVERYWHERE. But mostly under eustace, not useless.

Once I get confident enough, I’ll migrate eustace to the new PDS and useless will be a test account.

Right now I’m using this to make sure I did everything on my PDS configuration correctly. (So far, so good).

Hehehehe. It’s a homophone!

Also I’m running my own PDS and this account lives there. @eustace.justshootme.ca still lives on the BlueSky ecosystem.

Yeah. That makes my eyes roll back in my head. And I’m SURE I’ve pissed people off myself with long-ass incoherence.

Now that I think of it, it’d only run if you had the AT Toolbox app installed. 😢

7 months ago 1 0 1 0

Probably not. Not this time. 😂

I’m thinking that I can PROBABLY do a shortcut that would kick you to a root skeet in a thread, but I’m not sure how it’d work with a repost or quote post (although I could MAYBE logic my way through it).

You’re not on iOS, by any chance, are you?

When I am really into a novel, I'm seeing the world differently during that time-not just for the hour or so in the day when I get to read.
I'm actually walking around in a bit of a haze, spellbound by the book and looking at
everything through a different prism.
