My depiction of Addy Valentine's character, Gun-Nose, standing over a puddle reflecting the moon. taking place on a roof overlooking a city scape.

Finally I have a forest, and you know how forests are
silent, things can lurk inside them,

at least you have your cabin to keep you safe

for now...

How to make a spooky alien planet?

Simple, pick a random color that is not natural,
Make some chromatic contrast and done.

Well, by accident I made this,
I changed the fog colors to orange

Fog versus no fog.

Seems that I will need to vary the fog to make it look ok under the dithering

It's #ScreenshotSaturday and this one is from my first game, an atmospheric cosmic horror puzzle game called Abysm. It has a demo and will be part of the Februrary NextFest:

I keep adding stuff to my prototype!
In the distance there is some flying monster
While the goblins are nibbling at my HP with melee.

Adding melee will also help, but mostly this is spell focused.

Should I add both melee and spells?

Starting to build the core loop,
or at least that is what I think I am doing
You kill stuff, collect souls, upgrade stuff, kill more stuff

I think, kinda feels fun to go around the world.

read about a third of this book, and it is my first game design book, it is rather dense to read but makes you think a lot about a lot

I think I have a logo and a name for my game
Still have to build the game but the vibe and idea is there

"Nox: Veils of Doubt"

I think this title would fit the dark fantasy where you fight an archmage reign over the world

What do you folks think?

Pixelated the hands,
I went with blue so they are not that distracting
Any other color is a bit too bright

What do you folks think?

this is really insane, the paint effect is pretty tough to pull off in a 3D scene, great job Azure Fox

thank you very much for your support,
cant wait to get my hands on your game aswell

tthank you very much, that is super cool and you are cool for the offer, where did you do you master thesis?

also if you have Discord would love to have you on our server

totally agreed, fortunately I have experience with procedural generation, but also I am aware of it caveats, using hand drawn tiles is way faster than figuring out the right formula

albeit it would be a lot of fun, I also considered procedural generation for the levels aswell, time is an issue too

Thank you very much, really glad you like it. If you mean procedural in terms of generating all the features then no, it does have a texture that is sampled, I am procedurally generating the UV though, but that is a stretch of wordsπŸ˜…, the texture is applied across the geometry so it tiles properly.
