Two dark red Nora Barlow Aquilegia. A double row of dark red petals surround a yellow centre. Unlike other Aquilegia varieties (aka Colombine). The Nora Barlow varieties don't have the spur at the back of the flower. The variety was named after Nora Barlow. Who was Charles Darwin’s granddaughter

Bloods done. Only fours attempts across both arms. It's really hard to get blood from me. I have small veins. That like to hide and close very quickly.
I swear the senior phlebotomist rolls her eyes when she sees me walk in.

A dull, overcast start to the day. Off to the hospital for blood tests later. They rang yesterday to say my last set looked odd. So could I come in today and redo them. Hopefully they can find blood first time.

Bluebells in this mornings early sun. Multiple tall green stems. Topped with purply/blue bell like flowers. The odd small white strawberry flower can be seen dotted amongst them. In the background are pale blue forget-me-nots and a cloudless blue sky.
