Film Review - Christy | The MacGuffin Allen Almachar reviews the sports biopic Christy, from director David Michôd and starring Sydney Sweeney & Ben Foster.

CHRISTY (2025) has good pieces, including a strong performance from Sydney Sweeney. But while the biopic doesn't sugar coat its darker subject matter, the overall result is strangely conventional. My review.

Despite starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, DIE MY LOVE is not even remotely a commercial film, but I think it's really onto something in how it explores the subject of postpartum depression.

Film Review - Die My Love | The MacGuffin Allen Almachar reviews the psychological drama Die My Love, from director Lynne Ramsay and starring Jennifer Lawrence & Robert Pattinson.

DIE MY LOVE (2025) is an ambitious undertaking from director Lynne Ramsay and actors Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson. But I'm not sure taking such a big swing makes it entirely successful. My review.

Although by no means terrible, NUREMBERG easily ranks as one of the year's biggest disappointments.

I'll tell you why in my review, which you can read here: aisleseat.com/nuremberg.html

Colin Farrell brings his A game to BALLAD OF A SMALL PLAYER (2025). Unfortunately, the rest of the film does not keep up with him. My review.

Another Yorgos Lanthimos knockout that uses our biases and what we think of as "common knowledge" against us in this dark, absurdist comedy.

V/H/S/Halloween : Movie Review | DC Filmdom Two standout stories in V/H/S/Halloween are enough to balance out their ho-hum companion pieces, where the twists and action feel like the filmmakers were trying too hard to create something shocking ...

A late one: V/H/S/HALLOWEEN
dcfilmdom.com/2025/10/v-h-...
Thought this one would be better, considering its trick-or-treat season throughline. The two stories I liked the best--"Ut Supra Sic Infra" and "Kidprint--are good enough to get this movie into the "good for a watch" zone.
