Drawing of Ed from Our Flag Means Death in the style of SpongeBob SquarePants. He's shaped like Patrick Star and is sitting grumpily with his arms crossed and a big scowl on his face.

He's mad at his boyfriend, SpongeStede FancyPants.

A digital drawing recreating a still from Heated Rivalry (the scene on Ilya's sofa).

They're both shirtless and Shane is in Ilya's lap leaned in, a hair's breadth from kissing him, with Ilya's hands on his hips.

The whole drawing has a soft, warm glow and spots of bokeh/ lens flares- particularly in the small space between their lips.

I finally finished ONE of the many pieces I've started since this show took hold of my brain. 🙃

(And we're all going to collectively ignore what happens after this because I just love this incredibly intimate moment too much, k?)

A guide to Carcass Acres for newcomers
A guide to Carcass Acres for newcomers YouTube video by Hayden Kristal

When I was writing Wind of change with @baladria.bsky.social a while back, I watched a bunch of horsey YT videos so now the algo keeps spitting horse people videos at me. I'm not remotely mad about it and this is one of my favourites so far

Digital drawing of Ed and Stede from Our Flag Means Death drawn in ancient Egyptian art style. Stede is sitting on a bed with a lion's body, and he's dressed in a turquoise kilt and wears a broad collar with stripes of turquoise, purple, red, and white. He's reading a hand toward Ed. Ed is to the right and he is dancing naked except for a beaded dancer's belt

I'm feeling nostalgic. And a bit scared that KnittingBsky found me without knowing that I have #OFMD smut on here. So I'm resharing my RBB fic collab with @ivoryfeathers.bsky.social and this lovely artwork that I don't think I shared here before! #ofmdfic

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

Mystery to me. I loved the idea of the foreign troops doing tours, but that was honestly the singular highlight of of the film. I was completely blindsided by the tonal shift from the previous movies, and I never got into the swing of whatever was going on!

I'm bad with horror, but the first two movies are more heart-pounding adreneliney, chases and jumps. The third was gore for gore's sake, imo, I got the impression it wanted to outdo its predecessors in the blood & violence stakes, at the expense of the character elements.

Oh honey, no, I'm so sorry. I was so disappointed in that film, I wouldn't recommend it, and it's a very poor representation of the series, imo.
28 days later is one of my favourite films, and I enjoyed the sequel too, it has its merits.
Heartbroken by the third, especially after waiting so long.
