Excited to share that I’ll be starting my MSc in Health Sciences @sfu.ca studying #SocialPrescribing this fall.

I’m really grateful for the mentors, collaborators, and communities who’ve supported me along the way. Special thanks to @nurselillian.bsky.social, @idea.nursing.ubc.ca, and @cspsc.ca.

Stephen Lewis speaks at a podium during the 2016 NDP Convention (Codie McLachlan/CP).

Stephen Lewis was a democratic socialist who never stopped demanding a better world for all. How proud he must have been to see @avilewis.ca step into NDP leadership in his final days. May he rest in power.

I was explaining how a scoping review works to a group of high schoolers visiting @idea.nursing.ubc.ca for the week, and at one point I showed them the search strategy that I’m struggling to translate and said “this is Google search on steroids” lol.

Photo of stuffed animals and flowers placed around a tree near the Tumbler Ridge school, in memory of the recent shooting

My 12-year old daughters donated one of their favourite stuffies for me to leave at the memorial in Tumbler Ridge. It’s heartbreaking just to think of them not coming home safely from school today and every day.

I applaud the Government of Manitoba’s decision to seize this private long-term care home in Winnipeg. Provinces should 100% be using their expropriation powers for public good in cases like this.
