a black and yellow striped insect on a green leaf. it very much resembles a wasp, but it is a moth. Pennisetia marginatum not sure why it's holding two legs up like that - at first i thought this was a big wasp being eaten by a spider

this moth belongs to the family Sesiidae, or clearwings. many of its members are mimics of wasps (or other insects, like scorpionflies!)

just some wasp resting... with moth-like antennae, and a moth-like fluffy body, and kinda moth-like legs, and--hey what the heck~
