What would you propose? I don’t disagree with this idea, just curious about your thoughts. Our challenge would be the number of preps the three HS math teachers would end up having. I already have three different courses I teach, as does one of my other colleagues.

I’d love to know more about this as well.
That might work. Thanks for sharing.
I am wondering if I need to pair down content for those who want to just focus on passing the class and maintain pacing for the AP test students. I just do not know what to pair down.
#iteachmath Community. I need your help. I need to split my AP Calc class into 2 groups, one that has the potential to score well on AP test, and one that needs to pass the class. I have some Ss that are truly struggling with the algebra behind the Calc
Thank you for sharing
Thank you for sharing. I’ll give it a look. We use NumWorks calculators but Desmos animation is awesome to show rotations etc.
Is there a Desmos for calculus crash course?
Ok, so I reactivated it because much of school stuff is still there. The negativity on there is draining and I can feel it zap my soul. I am loving the new sense of #mtbos community here. It reminds me of when I first joined the bird app. #iTeachMath
Some would say “time”, and I understand that. I would also argue that they need lessons in time management. Most would say “forgot”. Others have no reason.
I love Smartless. Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes. They have amazing interviews and are funny too.
I’ve got to get better with this. I can see it being useful with calculus
That would be so cool. Depends on when in 2026, but I’m game.
They just don’t want to do the work.
AP Calc and AP PreCalc. Mostly 11 and 12th graders
Thanks. I love her stuff on UDL.
I’m not even sure they would do the practice if it was direct instruction.
Still trying to figure that one out @bobsonwong.bsky.social explained it but I need to tinker with it.
Flipping my classroom just doesn’t seem to be working. Students are struggling, not watching the videos. Practice in class is lacking effort. I don’t want to lecture but I think I’m going to have to revert. #iTeachMath #EduSky
I’ll have to give a different version and that’s ok. But the student will have to do it after school and mid practice as well. I will contact parents and coach tomorrow as well.
How do you handle cheating? Student removed test from classroom after told to turn in. Returned completed test later that day. First part, student scored low, part removed and submitted later is remarkably correct #IteachMath
So important in a HS classroom where, unfortunately, students and parents are more concerned about grades rather than the learning. When they actually do get a grade that reflects that they haven’t learned there is a sense of panic. Seeing it a lot in AP math classes.
#IteachMath I would love to develop a course for HS called the History of Math. It would interweave math history and concepts.
Moving from the bird app to here is like a breath of fresh air. Glad I found the #EduSky feed and can continue with my PLN.
Though binge watching is fun, it makes the wait for the next season excruciatingly long. #Diplomat #OMITB #LincolnLawyer
I like the pan balance as well. It helps to see the do to one side as you do to the other.
I’m a HS math teacher. Undergrad was aero engineering. I just love math and its patterns and beauty and want students not to hate it.
Thanks for the follow.
Just deactivated by Twitter account. Hope to find wonderful Math peeps here.
