I believe that the state of people in the U.S. is directly correlated to how isolated the individual is from any kind of community. We are at our limit when it comes to impaired socialization. Thanks #TikTok.

As a #nurse I am terminally frustrated that my 30:1 transitional care job had cooler coworkers with more trust in each other than my 6:1 crisis care job.

Kids have too much access to high quality art tutorials and resources nowadays. They should be learning the old fashioned way: trying to color using a computer mouse after following a tutorial made by a 16 year old on DeviantArt telling them to use the dodge and burn tools for shading

A close friend of mine showed me #TheAmazingDigitalCircus. The show is really nice two episodes in.

I hate this character though.

It's not really how he's written, it's that I know the kind of person that's meant to enjoy him.

The best part of 2025 is #Tiktok having a "review comment" feature.

They are, unsurprisingly, dealing with a lot of insults and toxicity from #White #Leftists. Generally citing "but Palestine", and ignoring everything else.

The White Left loves to use #brown and #black people as their vehicle for protest, but they hate listening to us.

Fast forward to 2025 and anti-blackness is hitting hard in #leftism. Black and Brown Lefties are pointing out how untenable the domestic situation is post Trump 2.0, and are (fairly) stating that they can't stay in the movement that hamstrung Kamal Harris's campaign.

The general sentiment was that the killing of George Floyd just ended up being an excuse for white leftists to play revolution while Black people were struggling (again) for justice.

The police were not abolished, some departments had a reduction in funding (that would later become even greater than it was before), but at the end of the protesting nothing changed. The white people went home and the danger didn't change for everyone else.

For many of us it felt like things might actually change on the racial front. As time went on it became clear that black leadership was getting replaced with white leadership. The protests went in a very different direction and one day they were just gone.

2020 gave us the George Floyd protests, they took place all over the country but we're most documented in Portland. A very liberal but also very white place.

As a brown guy (Vietnamese/Cuban), I feel like the #left just stopped caring about racial politics when it wasn't convenient anymore. It's become more and more unhinged since 2020.

As a #Nurse I made the switch from Long term/transitional care for a lot of reasons.

One of those reasons is that with an impending #recession similar to '08 Crisis care will have a much bigger role in healthcare.

I really enjoy seeing all the #leftist takes on how the #DNC let us down.

Like, Ok Comrade, let's just ignore that we didn't go out and vote when we knew exactly what was at stake. Shitty #democrat candidate/platform or not.

@lionsledbydonkeys.bsky.social I listened to the battle of Trenton episode. Do you still need podcasters to do dispatches from a soda war?

It's kind of my whole thing.

Small Domino: everyone #left of center can't get behind one fucking candidate and keep #trump out.

Big Domino: Two plane crashes, ICE raids, anti-trans legislation, Trans bans on the military, Political purges in government, and more. (It's only #January).

I had to take a break from “On Fascism” because it was causing a lot of psychic damage. Instead I finished “No True Glory”, because reading about the horrific battle of Fallujah is less depressing.

Something I don't see discussed much anymore is the very cold reality that #Latino communities are about to become the "other" in a way they haven't been since 2016. #executiveorder
