They are, unsurprisingly, dealing with a lot of insults and toxicity from #White #Leftists. Generally citing "but Palestine", and ignoring everything else.
The White Left loves to use #brown and #black people as their vehicle for protest, but they hate listening to us.
Fast forward to 2025 and anti-blackness is hitting hard in #leftism. Black and Brown Lefties are pointing out how untenable the domestic situation is post Trump 2.0, and are (fairly) stating that they can't stay in the movement that hamstrung Kamal Harris's campaign.
The general sentiment was that the killing of George Floyd just ended up being an excuse for white leftists to play revolution while Black people were struggling (again) for justice.
The police were not abolished, some departments had a reduction in funding (that would later become even greater than it was before), but at the end of the protesting nothing changed. The white people went home and the danger didn't change for everyone else.
For many of us it felt like things might actually change on the racial front. As time went on it became clear that black leadership was getting replaced with white leadership. The protests went in a very different direction and one day they were just gone.
2020 gave us the George Floyd protests, they took place all over the country but we're most documented in Portland. A very liberal but also very white place.
As a brown guy (Vietnamese/Cuban), I feel like the #left just stopped caring about racial politics when it wasn't convenient anymore. It's become more and more unhinged since 2020.
I remember back in 2020 when people were saying #GenZ would save the world.

As a #Nurse I made the switch from Long term/transitional care for a lot of reasons.
One of those reasons is that with an impending #recession similar to '08 Crisis care will have a much bigger role in healthcare.
