We have to get the legislature to stop Hochul’s attack on the climate law. If she succeeds she will raise our bills and increase pollution.

His endorsement for Hochul was an enormous get for her, especially so early.

Now I’m a critic of the advocacy complex, which I work in. I think wfp’s been too timid in recent years. That’s no secret.

But please: let’s keep things in perspective.

$500m per year isn’t all that.

We need way the heck more to make the math work. We’ve won way more before.

I recently saw someone tweeting some dsa hype, which i generally like seeing: it’s good organization building.

I don’t recall who sent it but in that particular tweet, the contrast was made to the (implicitly ineffective) NGO world, implying that world never could win THAT.

I’ve been part of several tax the rich fights. The most successful one, led by wfp at the time, forced Cuomo into about $5B per year in higher taxes on the rich, as I recall.

The pied a terre tax is good! (Assuming it passes) But it doesn’t make the math work.
