We stopped off for dinner but had to eat fast and go before they started to wonder where all the cutlery had gone

Replacing collapsed bridge 'nigh on impossible' cost for council The Spey Viaduct was completed in 1886 but partially collapsed into the Moray river at the weekend.

That old stick about the Roman Empire, and how the actual sign of the collapse was a bridge falling down and nobody coming to fix it.

A photo of 2000ad prog 600

After rooting out & organising my @2000ad.bsky.social collection a few months back (May-ish) I figured it gave me a good excuse to give them a re-read and have now reached prog 600 (just 35p back in 1988!) The nostalgia is strong but so are most of the strips

The empty skin of an unstuffed plush toy

The empty skin of an unstuffed plush toy

There are few things sadder looking than an unstuffed stuffed toy

This was hollowed out so I could give it a thorough wash without it taking days to dry out afterwards. She'll soon be back to her usual state again, just a lot cleaner

Thank you! I'll have to pore over the cover image and see if I can spot him. But he's small and easily scared so he might be hiding behind someone :D

At the moment he's a one of a kind figure. Unfortunately the wool I used for the knitted parts has been discontinued and no one seems to have any leftover stock but I'm trying to find a good substitute and I plan to make more Gronks once I've tracked one down

The Gronk had so much fun at @thoughtbubbleuk.bsky.social this weekend meeting lots of people and posing for photos. And a quiet moment allowed me to get his photo against the fantastic backdrop of the @2000ad.bsky.social banner

Once again the fabulous (according to the cover text) jigsaw from Megazine 2.27 gets a mention on the @2000ad.bsky.social podcast. So behold its 24 piece, thin card, 'will fall apart if you so much as breathe on it' glory

Not the greatest cover gift ever, but at least it didn't stain the paper

There isn't always opportunity to let people know that what they sent has arrived safe and well, but I do when I can. Thank you for the unexpected MK-Ultra print as well. Not only does it look great but it's a solid print too, super thick on the paper with a lovely smooth finish

I got to see that in full this afternoon (yay pre-order!) Your wonderfully moist & creepy looking Death pieces bookend the others nicely (a shame Dave Taylor couldn't do it though) as we continue the long, slow build to what i can only assume will be Necropolis 2: 50th anniversary boogaloo

Few people are thrilled when Dredd shows up at their door. I however couldn't have been happier (The squee I squode!!)

This gloriously textured piece by @opipop.bsky.social arrived safe and well with me today and I love it

On the one hand I'm very happy that Royal Mail delivered this month's Megazine today, on the other I'm still waiting to see if they'll cough up this week's prog any time soon

I'm shameless enough to have stood in my local Tesco and read it while I'm waiting, but that's not the point! #2000ad

And I do love a good splash of colour alongside the more muted and moody style that's become so common now.

I have no real desire to go back to the limited, and sometimes gaudy and badly offset, days of comic book printing I grew up with. But those old issues do have a certain charm that modern methods fail to replicate

I like the amount of blue on the suit, gives it that very classic 80's 2000ad look without being too much

A sketch I made. I wanted to see what it would look like if I drew the comic accurate Dredd adopt a pose famous from the #KarlUrban film. Suit should be blacker….Ho hum…sold now, so, you know, next time! #sketches #dredd #comics #2000AD

We visited Skipton castle yesterday and Bisby came along too. It was a bit wet underfoot after all the rain the day before but that didn't stop him from exploring the grounds a little
