A wonderful title and reading Fidel. We call some of these moments natural disasters. More natural reckoning, rebalancing perhaps. π

Welcome to the 60 Odd Poets hall of fame Jan π
A vintage typewriter with βNewsβ typed on the page, signalling a major announcement and the release of a new wave of poets.
Major announcement: #Wave3 of #TheWhiskeyTree is complete.
Built on the work of #Wave1 + #Wave2 β writers like @karenpgonzalez.bsky.social @markantonyowen.com @eatthestorms.com et al β who laid the foundations and built this project into what it is.
This is the final wave.
#TheWhiskeyTree #Wave3
A blurred, outstretched human hand reaches forward through a hazy, warm-toned atmosphere, as if fading or disappearing. The image feels distorted and unclear, suggesting disconnection. The Broken Spine logo is in the top left, "@thebrokenspine.co.uk" appears at the top right, and bold white text reads: "Read Repost Reply #POEMSABOUT #SIGNALLOSS".
The message cuts out. Whatβs left?
#PoemsAbout #SignalLoss β write what survives the silence.
Hmm, more because I've run out of anything to say. It'll return.
And the final voices shaping what #TheWhiskeyTree will be:

Wonderful Elizabeth; your new arrival is almost here π
Thank you John. It's good to see so many familiar names. π₯
Ah, but I did that video so many times to get this final take John. The difficult part is trying to read the poem by the side of the phone camera and still look as if I've memorised it. That is beyond me. π
Oh. You are too kind Evie. But the video did work well through the diffused summer light. It's a cemetery. All my best videos are done there! π
Hello Evie @coastalpoet.bsky.social. Here's one I recorded last summer. A sunny day reading for your new #poemsaloud initiative.
Here is 'The Gift of Forgetfulness', which delves into the years that etch themselves into our palms, a record of who we have been and are today.
A wonderful idea Evie! βΊοΈ
At the top, the words: "A Bardic Experiment" In the middle, an illustration of a medieval goat playing a lute. Underneath the medieval goat are the words: POEMS ALOUD Use the hashtag #PoemsAloud Share your own audio or video poems!
Calling all troubadours!
An idea.
Post your audio poems. Tag them #PoemsAloud so they're easy to find & share.
That's the idea. π₯³
Why?
#PoemsAloud syncs perfectly w/ #PoemsAbout or can stand on its own.
Some poems live beyond the page.
I recorded a bunch & don't know what else to do w/ them π€·ββοΈ
Here's mine...
What is this (Uk)?
All creatures are spirit guides Matthew; all are power animals and ciphers. Your task is to understand the power this creature holds for you. It found you.
I have jackdaws nesting in the chimney. This is their third year. As power animals they bring life or death. I've seen both so far...
I tried withholding what I wrote Evie, to save it for that sparkling collection...but couldn't. If you're confident of your writing and don't need feedback to sense-check it (accepting that our writing changes over time) that's OK. Equally OK is sharing it in part as you go. A blog sounds like work.
A strange little poem about the French supermarkets I enjoyed visiting as a child, wanting to revive my French language again and wishing our country was more connected to mainland Europe Desire poem After Kim Addonizio I want to melt you with my glue gun. I want to purr in tune with your laminator. O LeClerc! O Carrefour! You make me weak at the knees. Even though we broke up, I want to climb your pencil case-laden barricades right to the peak. I want to walk for hours through your isles, fritter my francs until l am spent. That's how devoted I am to you. I want to stroke your moleskin notebook, lift the lids of your brush tip pens, trace them over sheets, trawling streaks of blue. I always coloured inside the lines but now I want to break free. To fill this blank page with vers d'amour for you.
For #poemsabout #melt I offer a poem about my nostalgia for my teenage self in French supermarkets

It's a mystery, life as a hashtag...
π¬
Yau! It happens frequently Jane with this kind of tab, based on a hashtag.
Despite the rain, the chill, winter's reluctance to cede his throne, spring arrives with daffodils, birdsong, the lengthening of days. Welcoming it are the 15 poets of wave twenty-five of @iamb.uk. Expect 45 poems, written and read β fresh as the incoming season.

Like this? My #LiftToTheSky tab failed to load. Swiped down and it all reappeared. π
Ah, now I understand. Nothing has gone; your tab fails to load automatically as does mine, quite often.
When it gives you the spyglass and says it's empty, pull the screen down near the top and it should refresh. You may need to do it a few times to populate your tab again.
Oh, that's weird Jane. Here is my view now...
Best is to have a tab for #PoemsAbout Jane to have them all in one place. I can find them instantly this way.
Murmuration Dusk: one giant bird splits like shaken mercury, coating a tree. Dawn: the livid thundercloud bursts, suddenly upwards.
Hullo @blackboughpoetry.bsky.social @matthewmcsmith.bsky.social and to the 18 words of #fragmentsfriday #poetry
