White ash Weather’s white noise sleet has gone. Now the air’s hurried by snow – white ash of some wild sky fire. See it settling, restlessly, on spongy lawns; on waking fruit trees; on fairy-light buds. Everything still till this albino rain. Watch it move, animate everything.
The poem I originally sent @alanparry83.bsky.social at @brokenspinearts.bsky.social for #thewhiskeytree #wavetwo edition 'Untamed Nature' wasn't the one that appeared in that volume. It was this little thing from March 2012 – a poem for which I still have a great deal of fondness.
