"Yes, friends, Euphoria season 3 is saying what no other work of pop culture has ever dared to acknowledge: that Americans love money. I know, this is the first I am hearing of this also!"

My review of THE PITT season two finale
By total coincidence, I was looking up something about SAY ANYTHING... and realized that April 14 marks the 37th (😭) anniversary of this wonderful film.
This is an interesting point.
It's also significant that most Gen Xers came of age in the '80s, when Reagan was popular. Some Xers can't let go of that pro-R mindset because it's so rooted in their childhood memories and sense of identity.
If the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame does not include Olivia Dean in its tribute to inductee Sade, I am going to ask to speak to the manager of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Truly.
To be fair, he would probably be responsive.
Nope. Also it's McGruff, not MacGruff. My deepest apologies to McGruff.
Was anyone wanting or expecting the Pope to be tough on crime? That's not in his job description. It would be one thing if he were MacGruff the Crime Dog. Crime is right there in his job title.
Not the Pope's, though.
Back in the recap business, writing about EUPHORIA season 3 for ELLE. Here's the lowdown on tonight's episode, aka "What the HELL is happening with Nate and Cassie?"

“We were talking about the academic rigor of a liberal arts education, and essentially how it can be updated for the current economic status and job market."

Dammit, I would come to this if I didn't have tickets for Bridget Everett at the same time!
Tonight in 1990 — David Lynch and Mark Frost's TWIN PEAKS debuted on the ABC Sunday Night Movie. #TwinPeaks #OTD
We had a bomb shelter at my elementary school. Good times.
Same, except I'll be at a Last Dinner Party concert hoping I get to watch their entire set before the world ends.
(I'm not trying to be glib, but as a Gen Xer, glibness and sarcasm are, unfortunately, my coping mechanisms. I actually feel sick to my stomach.)
I have reached the age where I can celebrate NCAA championships on behalf of the children of my friends from childhood.
The sons of two of my best friends from middle/high school go to Michigan and are at the game tonight and even made it on TV. I am so happy for them.
It was! Two of my best friends from high school have sons at Michigan. One was on TV during the Final Four game, the other just got on TV during the championship.
Wow, we raised that money quicjkly!
Hello, I am starting a GoFundMe so we can all finally buy Michigan a three-pointer.
It is truly wild to me that anyone thinks it's a good idea to bring their kids, on PURPOSE, anywhere near this man.

Since The Washington Post gutted its staff, it has relied heavily on AP copy. Not sure what they run if that copy goes away, too.
Also we will all be less informed because of this, and that is very, very bad anytime, but especially now.
Elvis Costello onstage
In another lifetime, Vulture hosted a party where Elvis Costello was the performer (!!!) and Peaches (!!!) and a bunch of other women shoved me to the front because they saw how short I was and they wanted me to see.
Took this with no zoom
Rewatching the end of EUPHORIA season two and Lexi's play remains an extraordinary piece of television.
It remains mine!
I have been saying this FOR YEARS

My friends, the follow-up to THE HANDMAID'S TALE, THE TESTAMENTS, starts streaming on Wednesday. And I must report that it is very good.

Hey, she made me something special, too!
There IS crying in basketball. And I love it.
Send Peppermint Patty peace and love today because she’s about to, once again, have the worst Easter of her life.
