I’m dealing with some serious health issues beyond my thyroid. I’m keeping it quiet for now until it’s done and over with—and hopefully I’ll have good news to share then.

In the meantime, I’ve been held up by my husband, neighbors who’ve become friends, and friends who’ve become family. I wish I could say the same about my actual family… but, well, that’s not the reality.

Some doctors and well-meaning folks have suggested I tap into social resources or even reach out to “influencers” in my industry who share similar experiences. And what I’ve learned is this: some people make their illness their entire online identity. Daily symptom updates. Public medication breakdowns. A whole persona built around it.

That’s just not me.

I keep things close to my chest and keep moving forward quietly.

For those of you who’ve asked, “What can I do?” — all I can honestly confirm is that prayers work. Truly.

And if you feel moved to gift me something (because Christmas, Three Kings Day, or my 2/2 birthday), please know that books or magazines are always welcome.

Renewing my LACMA, AMC, or American Cinematheque memberships would absolutely make my heart jump with joy. And if you’re still unsure what will make me smile, I can be found on Venmo at @analydia.

All this to say: you truly have no idea what battles someone is fighting—especially the ones who choose not to broadcast it. Loud vulnerability isn’t the only kind of strength, and silence doesn’t mean absence of struggle.

Grace costs nothing. Assume less. Be kind.

Some called it gatekeeping. And, boy did I get flack for it on Twitter. But there’s a method to my madness. None of us would’ve come this far without one another.

A mix that looks like U.S. TV & Film audiences: Brown, Black, Asian, White, men & women. All ages, different social backgrounds and marital status'. Parents and childless folks. Living all over the US and abroad.

But most importantly, all legit industry writers: repped, staffed, placed, or produced

Every break makes me a little misty-eyed. This group started with one phone call (okay, maybe a few coffee dates) with my friend Esther.

She wanted a writers group. I’d hated every one I’d been in.

So I said: only if we do it right:

A focus. A timeline. Everyone working toward craft.

In that time, we’ve:
🎬 Gotten repped
📺 Worked at major streamers & studios
🏆 Finaled at Austin & Nicholl
🎥 Produced & directed features & shorts
✍️ Sold & optioned scripts. All while holding full-time jobs in the industry.

Today was the last session of the #FabSix Fall/Winter 2025 #writersgroup.

We’ve met every other week since the pandemic: 10 sessions per season. While three writers moved on, three of our OGs remain.

I haven't posted anything about my personal health news because I was waiting to complete procedure #1. Now that it’s done and I’m waiting for the results and next steps, I'm asking for a little 🙏 if you have it in your heart. Thank you ❤️

I’m always open to collaborations and contributing original content for a fee. If you'd like to discuss rates or commission a post, feel free to DM me or email me for my rate sheet.

That said, at this stage in my career, my writing is paid. I invest real time, labor, and research into every piece, and I expect direct linkbacks to my website and pre-approved copy if anyone is interested in featuring my original work on their channels.

you’re choosing the easy way out. Silence is complicity. Laziness in the face of injustice is a privilege.

10 months ago 0 0 0 0

Listen, I don’t expect everyone to be out on the frontlines protesting. BUT, if you’re whyte, call yourself a bleeding-heart liberal, and all you’re doing is griping about this administration without defending the rights of undocumented people, you’re not helping...

I don’t owe silence to anyone, especially not while my own community is under attack. You don’t get to call yourself an ally, or even decent, while defending what MAGA stands for. My conscience, my heritage, and my lived experience demand more from me

10 months ago 2 1 0 0

Opposing MAGA isn’t racism: it’s resistance to a movement rooted in xenophobia, white supremacy, and policies that actively harm communities like mine. If someone feels attacked by that, maybe they should examine why.
