I accept your points and I’ll be keeping an eye on polling especially for my own region. I don’t generally do conspiracy theories but I know SNP rules prevent members supporting other parties which goes some way to explain their strategy. I’ll probably be voting #SNP1SGP2 as you suggest however.

I agree with your last comment however if I voted SNP with both votes where I live my second vote would be wasted as many SNP second votes would across Scotland. Surely it’s better for that second vote to count and help elect an Indy supporting MSP

Labour is trying to spin the Sarwar/Offord story as the SNP choosing to believe Offord over Sarwar, but that's not right, it's a matter of believing numerous press reports, including one from the Labour supporting Daily Record, over Sarwar. Offord merely confirmed what was reported elsewhere.

Let’s agree to disagree. In my opinion it’s about more than Westminster. It’s about the message it sends to the rest of the World that Scotland has an elected pro independence majority of elected MSP’s. This will put pressure on Westminster and possibly open up legal challenges.

What’s the alternative? Reform/Labour as the second largest party or the pro independence Scottish Green Party? Surely that means something 🤔

I fully understand why @snp.org promote #BothVotesSNP which is the right vote in a couple of regions and their rules stop them from promoting other parties in elections. For the majority of Indy supporters it has to be #SNP1SGP2 to maximise the number of Indy supporting MSP’s and stop the unionists.

Suella Braverman’s parents emigrated (those horrible economic migrants not from a war zone she hates).

She went to Cambridge for free and didn’t collect £27k debt like everyone else. Scrounger.

She used the Erasmus scheme to study in France. Which she has blocked.

Horrible.

Any society that denies medical treatment because of a lack of money is sick and unfit to be considered civilised.

This is the US and what the verminous Farage wants for the UK.

Imagine if things were the other way around..
Imagine that the UK was governed from Edinburgh, and England sent all its tax revenue Ebillions to Holyrood.
Imagine that Holyrood then gave England half back, but spent the rest on 'national infrastructure' projects like upgrading the A9 to a 6-lane motorway, building a new electric rail network throughout Scotland, holding the Olympics in Glasgow, and £200Billion on Trident nuclear WMDs sited just 20 miles from Portsmouth.
Now, imagine that there wasn't enough money for all of this, so Scotland borrowed to cover the extra, then told England that they'd have to help pay off the multi-billions interest on the loan.
Imagine if Scotland had then voted to Leave the EU, whilst England voted Remain, but we ignored their vote, despite knowing it could shrink their economy by up to 10%. Then imagine that, under cover of Brexit, Holyrood seized 24 core devolved powers from England despite the English devolved parliament voting decisively to retain and protect them.
England would have dissolved the Union decades ago.

Did you know that since 'The Vow' in 2014, which promised more powers to Scotland, Westminster has instead stripped 24 key powers and overruled Scottish Parliament decisions on devolved matters more than 13 times?

Sometimes people in England sneering at Scots moaning about Westminster's failings and its contempt for Scotland simply don't understand where we're coming from.

France passed a law requiring solar panels on every parking lot with more than 80 spaces.

Equals 10 nuclear reactors
Reduces heat island, shades cars

The US -- 800 million parking spaces. Most of them are uncovered asphalt sitting in direct sunlight.

Why aren't we doing this?

You had me at ScotWind Wealth Fund.

You lost me at both votes SNP.

Has to be SNP 1 Green 2.

I know you can't say that but you know that and we know you know that.

Get the mandate. #IndyRef2

Poll Analysis: YouGov MRP 23rd of March – 8th of April 2026 Scepticism about fancy MRP polling aside and just using their vote share figures, the SNP are within touching distance of a majority whilst the Conservatives are near-death.

Poll Analysis: YouGov MRP 23rd of March - 8th of April 2026 (finally caught up!)

Holyrood Seats Projection:
SNP ~ 64
Reform ~ 20
Labour ~ 15
Green ~ 13
Lib Dem ~ 10
Conservative ~ 7

Note: These figures differ substantially from YouGov's own, and I remain slightly funny on MRPs generally

Dont waste your second vote Scotland. Its Proportional Representation after all.
If we get 1 million votes for the snp and then the same 1 million vote Green, then Scotland will stand on its own two feet.
Last time I est that we gave 200k 2nd votes to Greens, let's change this (No Change) poll

I’m fed up with the Westminster system that means hard work delivers less and less, while people’s energy and food costs just keep going up.

The fresh start of independence would mean we can use Scotland’s resources to benefit Scotland’s people.

UK to give homes ‘free energy’ instead of turning off wind turbines Europe’s outdated and under-invested energy grid means huge amounts of renewable energy are wasted every year.

University of Oxford : maximising oil and gas extraction here would only save UK households up to £82 (€95) per year. A UK fully powered by renewable energy, would save households up to £441 (€510) a year on energy bills.

Vote SNP 1 Scottish Greens 2 - updated swing calculation:

Points of interest:
a) if 12% of SNP 2 votes went to the Scottish Greens, then the SGs become the official opposition
b) a 38% swing of SNP 2 votes to SGs makes a combined indy support of 66.7% - a 2/3rds super majority

120 Tories have defected to Reform since its founding, including 27 MPs

Vote SNP 1 Scottish Greens 2 to maximise the number of Indy supporting MSPs. Every extra Scottish Green on the list is one fewer unionist MSP and ensures that Reform do not become the opposition in Holyrood.
