Well spotted, @johnwsheldon.bsky.social
The light-leak between top and bottom.

My 3D printer can't print the entire height, so it basically ended up as two half-frames. I need to re-assemble it with putty in between.

Thanks. Yes, in Canada we have ready-set-cut, but in the U.S.o.A, I believe send-cut-send is typically used.

I find the service really fast, and reasonably priced too.

We're truly living in the age for makers, with PCB print service, laser service and home 3d printing.

We have a case of two dozen failures.

Failure 1: AI incapable of recognizing columns.

Failure 2 … 24: Scientist thinks it is OK to let LLM write.

I hope the papers were retracted by the journals.

Scientists are supposed to be more responsable than Joe Average. If they cut corners…

AI ruins so much.

Wait until you learn about “vegetative electron microscopy.”

Just use a pinhole camera obscura made of cardboard.

The fjord police will just think it is a storage box.

The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world.

Exactly this!
Poor kids missed out on 8bit computers.
Initially I was disappointed to have been a little too young for the gold rush of 8bit games, but when iPhone came around, I was well positioned to take full advantage.

Seems obvious to me: they decided to stop patronizing the social-media outlet of a certain billionaire nazi.

Not much left there anyways, other than bots, magats and the odd developer who values follower count over follower quality.

Chris Christie Unloads on the Kushners in Interview with The Fifth Column
Chris Christie Unloads on the Kushners in Interview with The Fifth Column YouTube video by The Fifth Column - A Podcast

Somehow my brain has been conditioned to immediately discard anything said by a republican, as it is bound to be incredibly dumb.

So Chris Christie’s eloquence took me by surprise.

And what a tale, he had on offer. Entertaining!

American Service-Members' Protection Act - Wikipedia

Yeah, Republicans knew this. That's why they passed the Hague Invasion Act in 2002 (with plenty of Dem votes as well.) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America...

Earth sets at 6:41 p.m. EDT, April 6, 2026, over the Moon’s curved limb in this photo captured by the Artemis II crew during their journey around the far side of the Moon. Orientale basin is perched on the edge of the visible lunar surface. Hertzsprung Basin appears as two subtle concentric rings, which are interrupted by Vavilov, a younger crater superimposed over the older structure. The lines of indentations are secondary crater chains formed by ejecta from the massive impact that created Orientale. The dark portion of Earth is experiencing nighttime. On Earth’s day side, swirling clouds are visible over the Australia and Oceania region.

Love the image, but… booo! No EXIF… booo!

It would be fun to see where the camera thought it was based on gps.

I wonder if a crew member brought their fujifilm gfx along for the ride. In which case, we need to know: what lens?

F**king christian cults desperately trying to make armageddon happen.

A 2000 year old fairytale will be the end of us all.

Radical christianity is at least as dangerous as radical islam.

I wonder if losing the radical atheism of Mao and Lenin has doomed us. Now we are too tolerant to delusion.

When I lived in the Netherlands, there was “road tax” paid yearly for every car.

The tax rate was linked to vehicle weight.

Fiat 500 paid little, heavy limousine paid a lot.

It had a funny side effect that the lowest taxed vehicle was a recreational racer: Donkervoort S7 at 525kg.
