Portait of our friend Giulia. This portrait was made on some kind of Direct Positive Paper from Imago. A terrible product. It take more than 20 seconds to shot this portrait. I mean an exposition of 20 seconds at full aperture.

Petzval lens by unknown maker, mounted on aluminium en PLA.
I decided to adapt a 19th century Petzval to my mid-20th century Rittreck SLR.
While manufacturing a mount, it occurred to me how three different eras of manufacturing converge in a single lens mount.
(It will eventual mount onto a steel camera body.)

Yesterday I did a few changes on my setup and just would try the new settings - Long story short - I’m impressed what you can get out of only 10 x 300 sec with an unmodified and uncooled Canon EOS R 😯

I saw this tunnel of xmas-lights on my commute, and luckily had my GFX50R and MMZ KO-140M in my backpack.
That lens is amazing. Dirt-cheap, even when brand-new old stock, #Petzval lens from the CCCP. Big glass with the swirl of swirls.

Just south of Ft. Bragg, we pulled over to get some pics of this beautiful sunset 5 hours into a 18 hour drive home. The sunset is reflected in a pond on the beach fed by a local spring. Pine trees line a ridge the drops into the ocean in the distance.

weather finally cooperated for some 4x5 shots outside. #Petzval is behaving like f/8, and shutter is most consistent at ≈1/15s, so I shot @ilfordphoto.com #FP4 at ISO 50 and it worked well

Yesterday I've met a fellow #vintagelens lover who took the game to another level. He designs his own lenses with old concepts. Like this #Petzval type with a nice soft focus, heavy swirl like a projection lens but with aperture. Just wow.
