AOC talking to RFK Jr. Her facial and hand gesture has the spiritual energy of that Italian hand gesture where you pinch your fingers and wave your hand (the "ma che vuo" gesture).

Robert Gemmell Hutchinson's work is of a young woman about to play golf, checking a barometer, the forecast hopeful. Her clothing follows 1920's golfing fashion trends, an oversized flat cap and matching two-piece dress.

I admittedly haven't kept on my Minions-verse lore, but I distinctly recall they were shown as having been frozen in ice from Napoleon to the present day, as an obvious way to dodge the implications of them "looking for another evil boss to serve" in the 20th C.

Carlos Alcaraz on the possibility of missing Roland Garros

“I have a long career ahead of me. Forcing for Roland-Garros could penalize me enormously in the future”

“We'll see what the exams show. But I prefer to come back a bit later rather than rush.”

In 1965, Edie Sedgwick became the face of Andy Warhol’s Silver Factory. Her "panda eyes" were an approach away from soft, natural gradients. It was a choice that shifted the visual identity of the 1960s Youthquake.

a red toy poodle is sitting in front of a dark leather sofa, his chin tilted slightly up. his snout fur is so fluffy it’s completely blocking his eyes. underneath his little black nose, his mouth is open just enough to show off the tip of his tongue and four almost identical white teeth, like posts in a picket fence.

This is Nimo. He's not sure why everyone's obsessed with his smile. Might have something to do with his teeth, but he's not sure. 13/10 (IG: nyooochan)

The Fraud's Prayer:
Our Father, who art in the White House,
hallowed be thy combover;
thy blingdom come;
thy will be dumb;
In Washington as you are in Florida.
Give us this day our daily round of golf.
And forgive us our insider trading,
as we refuse to forgive those who investigate against us...

This calls very desperately for experimental archaeology. How durable were they? Were they comfy? How long did they take to make, and what was their relative trade-value? Did one shop for shoes, or make them at home? All these are vital research questions, if you're a flip-flopaholic! #Egyptology

My photo shows a Hellenistic era hemispherical mosaic glass bowl viewed from above. The glass has a floral pattern made up of tiny, many-petalled blue, white, and yellowy-green flowers against a dark purple background (looks black in my photo). The bowl has an alternating diagonal-striped black and white glass rim. The bowl has been reconstructed from fragments and the plain light blue areas are where missing glass fragments have been replaced during reconstruction. It measures 13.2 cm in diameter and 7.5 cm in height. It was made in the eastern Mediterranean about 200-100 BC.

This Hellenistic mosaic glass bowl looks so modern, yet it was made over 2,000 years ago!

Ancient glassmakers created the tiny flower pattern using a technique now known as ‘millefiori’ (thousand flowers). A timeless design still made by glassmakers today!
