Started my journey rigging in vfx this week. I've worked in TV, games (indie and AAA) but not yet in films. This has been a goal since I was kid. Super stoked about this opportunity.

Hopefully I can overcome imposter syndrome, make cool things and deliver 🤗

I was having a discussion with @stephors.bsky.social about soft IK recently, and remembered this great Softimage blog post. It's nearly 20 years old at this point, but the equation is solid. I use the same setup in my rigs, only converted to Maya utility nodes #rigtip

Earlier this week our studio along with 2 others we co deved shut down. It was so sudden. Worked with these people for years and suddenly the connection is severed on the day we got the news.

The messaging last month saying there was no plans of this made this very unexpected.

Still processing what happened with Ubisoft. It's rough out there.
