Just happened upon your wonderful photo of Maggie today. It really captures her and made me smile. She was a truly exceptional person, and I feel honoured to have been her colleague at Sussex.

This is very sad news indeed. Maggie was an exceptional person in every way: a formidable intellect who also cared very much about her colleagues (which I was lucky enough to be) and students, and supported them both in numerous ways.
