Fewer than 30 Asiatic cheetahs remain in the wild, all in Iran.
While the subspecies has been protected since 1959, war and sanctions are now disrupting vital conservation efforts, leaving the world’s rarest big cat on the brink of extinction.

Reform have misspelt 2 out of the 3 Welsh words on their manifesto for Wales.
Nigel Farage and Wales leader Dan Thomas proudly held up the manifesto at the launch yesterday.
On the front cover it reads "Family, community, country," which has been translated to "Teulu, gymnued, wlad."

I'll see you baby when the clans rise again, women and men united in the struggle in this free world. Kirsty Maccoll. Musician and humanist.
Musician Kirsty MacColl died #onthisday in 2000. It's difficult to believe it's been 25 years. We were proud to conduct her humanist funeral, in accordance with her wishes. This Christmas marks the third year without Shane MacGowan and Kirsty MacColl, but still, their voices live on❤️

New research estimates that U.S. cuts to TB programs could cost as many as 2.2 million additional lives by the end of the decade. Even short-term disruptions could cost tens of thousands.

The most important news from today's reshuffle:
I was holding out hope Aiden was an elaborate parody after it offered to 'reframe' my prompt 'to invite more emergence, ambiguity, and shared sensing'. Apparently this would 'hold entanglement' and 'compost the idea of a single neat answer'. So it's drunker than most authors at a lit festival?

Stephanie Shirley is perhaps one of the lesser known tech pioneers, but she shouldn't be. Back in the 60s she saw the potential for women in tech, setting up a company for them to code from home, going by the name Steve because it was a man's world. RIP Dame Shirley

Somebody on LinkedIn said what we're all thinking.
She's actually sold this documentary, hasn't she? Someone is waiting for it finally to be finished (for years).
