“From agency chiefs like Marty Makary & Jay Bhattacharya to higher-ups like RFK Jr & Russell Vought, to low-level insiders like Matthew Memoli & Jon Lorsch at NIH, whose familiarity with the workings of their agency helped to bring it down from within, all of these men need to be held accountable”👏

1/3 Pollutants don't stay in the water. In San Diego, we showed they become a previously unrecognized source of air pollution. Once inhaled, toxic chemicals and airborne pathogens have been linked to cancer, heart attacks, and dementia. As water pollution rises globally, this is everyone's problem.
At our event at the library today, I passed out information about the fact that the Mayor's preliminary budget cuts our public library budget. Only 2 people were aware of this. Everyone was appalled. We need to increase public education about this fact. Folks promised to contact their council member

For #poetrymonth
on burning a book, made vivid
"Even then
some charred erratum
or index
floats off through the trees,
some ashen verse
or black-edged stanza

from Simon Armitage, 'Bordered Sallow' from the collection New Cemetery
Resonating: "He's come out of the man, and he's let the man go."
FOR APRIL
"Like time after the painting
expanding, believed-in —
back of the brain, now.
Outpaced by love
like intelligence.
Dark seam. Nothing
