...we can find comfort in the knowledge that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. 🌳
In his reflection, he encourages us all to hear God's invitation to bring light, goodness and love into the lives of others.☀️
✨As we enter 2026, Bishop Neil shares his monthly reflection for January, focusing on being empowered by the Holy Spirit to live out God's call on our lives.
He reminds us that, whilst the world might tell us to start the new year with a list of resolutions...
This month, may we redouble our efforts to be open people and open churches, sharing Christ’s light with our communities in ways that bring warmth and grace. May this Advent be a time of openness and blessing for all. 🌟

As we enter December, BIshop Neil's reflection for this month is on light, a theme that feels especially powerful as Advent unfolds🕯️
Jesus is the Light of the World, and that light calls us to open our hearts and our doors. Advent is not only a time of waiting, but a season of welcome and hope.
Bishop Neil was joined by Archdeacon Adam Beaumont, Canon Guy Wilkinson, and Revd David Stephenson, Vicar of St Paul’s and Cotham, the local Benefice.
The visit ended with a shared commitment to further interfaith engagement and to stand firmly against antisemitism in all its forms

Yesterday, Bishop Neil visited Park Row Synagogue, home of the Bristol Hebrew Congregation.
He was warmly welcomed by Noam Adani, the Synagogue’s president, and Tony Gordon, who shared the history of the community and gave a tour.
We kicked off #LivingWageWeek at London Stadium with stories from community leaders on the impact of the real #LivingWage and #LivingHours.
This year’s theme, "The Difference it Makes", is about dignity and the right to a decent life.
Join the movement for the real #LivingWage. 💪
Throughout his life, Jesus trusted God’s timing. In this Vacancy in See period, Bishop Neil encourages us to follow Christ’s example: to see waiting not as wasted time, but as a season of hope, prayer, and preparation. 🙏
As we enter November, Bishop Neil shares this month’s reflection on waiting - a theme that feels especially relevant as Advent approaches.
He reminds us of the words in Ecclesiastes 3: “there is a time for everything.” Waiting is not easy, but Jesus shows us how to wait well.
