Oh neat! We have done some stuff with TSG before and a bunch of us all go to Raleigh open each year which was my first real (as in not hosted my by club) tournament.

Yay! For me it is the only sport (outside of what they made us do in school) I have ever done and as a chronic hobby switcher also one I have kept up with going on 3 years now. ⚔️

Ahh neat! He came out to our neck of the woods last year and joined our club for a muster. He's good friends with one of our instructors which is how Skirmishing made it's way over to us.

Nice! My personal goal for my first in house tournament was to score a point and I managed to score 2 so I doubled my goal! :)

Ohh interesting. I have been poking around to try and find a better solution, have to look into that. Given you know what skirmishing is and I am pretty sure I see him in the background I am guessing you are in the same club with Derek?

I sewed a couple strips of fabric with some non-slip stuff on the bottom and small pouches on each end with kitty litter to keep them weighted down. They were good on the artificial turf carpet at our old gym but a little slippery on the fake wood floor at our new place.

It was a Halloween tablecloth that someone had put out for the trash and I snagged just last week. It really was amazing timing.

My club is currently doing a cape and side sword unit! After using a towel last week I got crafty this weekend and made my own cape

We are currently doing a module of side sword and cape in #HEMA class. Had to just use a towel last week but I got my crafting on this weekend and threw a dueling cape together. It’s just cotton and a repurposed Halloween tablecloth.

Three years ago today my wife and I took this "Intro to Longsword" class at our local #HEMA club. I enjoyed it so much I came back the next week for my first free class and now 3 years later I am helping to run the club as we settle into our own private training space. Crazy! ⚔️

Hotel is booked for SERFO in June! We did a shared house last year but I am too old to sleep on a trundle bed and share a bathroom with 7 other people, before trying to go fence in the morning 😀 My back alone applauds my hotel decision! #HEMA
