Three years ago today my wife and I took this "Intro to Longsword" class at our local #HEMA club. I enjoyed it so much I came back the next week for my first free class and now 3 years later I am helping to run the club as we settle into our own private training space. Crazy! ⚔️

Yayyyy new sword! I wanted something with an ambidextrous hilt so I could switch to righty when teaching. It's a touch shorter and much more back-weighted than my swept hilt, which I think I prefer. I also had the grip shortened to fit my baby hands. Made by Seven Embers Forge. #HEMA #rapier

This game Halfsword is really great. Helped keep me interested in #hema while I was recovering from an injury. It's a little janky but the accuracy is really immersive. Strong recommend. I only wish you could set the tiers backwards because Commoner/ soldier is the most fun if you like swords.

Three weeks ago, I competed in rapier and dagger for the first time. I (black and yellow pants) had close matches, lost four and won one! In three weeks I get a new chance, in single rapier (and also longsword, sword and buckler and sabre). #hema
