🩵🩵🩵 I think people get so wrapped up in pattern theft/copyright that they forget that not everything has to be completely original. It’s very different to plagiarize than it is to create art that is similar to someone else’s art.

So anyways we will have like 8 of these plus quite a few others at Purlside in Hermiston, OR on Feb 22nd and 23rd!
We made these little cuties by using up some leftover dye from some of the Murder & Magic colorways - The Orbweaver, Righteous Rage, and The Light in the Window. We hate wasting dye so we save everything we can and then do fun experiments with whatever we have left!

The preorder goes live tomorrow afternoon, but we will also be donating from our sales at Purlside Fiber Fest later this month! We will update you on the donation amount and post for accountability - that will be likely be in the week after we get back from Purlside!

…because let’s be real, we don’t make a profit yet 😅 we are just a wee baby business! We hope to someday be able to increase our donation amounts, but again, we are resisting the helplessness and just want to start where we can.
Spectrum has specifically helped our family, so they had already been high on our list. As for our donation amount, we went back and forth a lot on how to go about it - a dollar amount per skein? A perfect of profit? We settled on a smaller percentage of total sales.
When we started Apple Blossom Yarn, we knew that we wanted to make it a priority to donate to local organizations. We started feeling overwhelmed and almost paralyzed with deciding what causes to try to help support - but that is how they want us to feel. So we just chose!

We are photographing the whole collection across the bases, it’s just taking a while to make sure all the pictures are as color accurate as possible! As soon as that’s done, we will open up a website preview so you can take a look before Sunday.
Sock Sets! We are offering DIY Sock Sets, so mix and match to your hearts content! You will be able to choose ANY color for the 100g skein, and then choose from the 4 tonals for the mini (Ora, Heritage Way, The Light in the Window, Finders Keepers). Sock sets will be in their own separate listing.
We are offering 4 bases: Cosmic Sock, Cameo DK, Cameo Worsted, and Aurora Suri Lace. All our base info is on our site and it is also featured in every single listing to help make things easy for you!
The initial preorders would dye and ship first, followed by the second batch. We never want you to have to panic buy or rush, so hopefully this will allow everyone plenty of time to purchase thoughtfully 🩵
Orders will ship on or before March 17th. If we exceed our capacity fairly quickly, we will close the initial preorder and reopen a for a second round, with a longer turnaround time (likely would ship by April 17th, but we will announce an official date if the time comes).
