One for the casual games: Imperial Guard Rough Riders on bikes. So, Rough Bikers I guess. Though they are not tall enough to really proxy their counterparts. Their leader has stopped the bike and points forward with a power sword, the others - armed with lances with frag tips - are changing their direction to follow this order. Fast Attack

Not much new, and you know some of these pictures already: A Sentinel, a Valkyrie, and my custom Rough Riders.

A platoon consisting of 35 soldiers is defending a backyard. The command squad and its accompanying commissar has taken position behind a stone wall to make use of their melta guns and a power fist, while the commissar aims his boltgun. To their left and right are two squads of infantry, each equipped with a plasma gun and an autocannon, a third squad, this one equipped with a missile launcher, has taken position in a ruined building, where it is spread across several floors.

In the meantime the other platoon of 35 soldiers has taken position to defend a street. The command squad is in a ruined building on the right, where it will make use of the CO's boltgun, two grenade launchers, and a lascannon. In a building on the left is a squad of infantry, it has a grenade launcher and an autocannon. The commissar with his power sword and plasma pistol, and the two remaining squads of infantry (both are having a grenade launcher, one is also equipped with missile launcher, the other with an autocannon) are on the street level.

Having just cleared a ruined building, 10 hardened veterans under the command of Captain Sean Nellis, all wearing black uniforms and grey armor, are continuing their advance through the streets. A commissar is whipping 30 conscripts from the 291st replacement depot through abandoned streets as they advance to reinforce the front. To differentiate them from the more seasoned soldiers, they are wearing light grey stripes on their helmets and right shoulder pauldrons. The latter also still shows the number of their replacement depot instead of the regiment's symbol.

Troops

The backbone of the Guard. And a learning experience: I'll never again do unit markings with the Guard. 😂

I've got two platoons, a squad of hardened veterans, and now also 30 conscripts.

And I've just now noticed that I forgot to include the first platoon's chimera in their photo. 🤦🏻‍♂️

HQ

The original premise of my army was: When an Eldar army attacked, Colonel Mueller as the CO tasked Captain Gorfan from Bravo Company to gather whatever troops he'd find to defend the planet's capital.

So if you wonder about the different unit markings, that's why.

Finished the skeletons I started yesterday and another 5 this evening.
I’ll do something else tomorrow, I’ve got a couple of undead characters to paint so think I’ll paint them.

Going to optimistically say this first batch of WIP clan rats are about 85% done 🤔

Definitely not my neatest paint job but trying to get through them quickly. Reckon they look ok as a squad though.

A photo showing my painted Imperial Guard army, 182 miniatures and vehicles. Built with 5th Edition in mind, it is about 3000 points in total. Most of the miniatures are painted with colors that resemble light grey urban camo uniforms, the vehicle have camo schemes in the same colors. They are standing on a winter-themed neoprene mat.
