Five work in progress miniatures for Warhammer 40k: Imperial Guard Rough Riders on bikes, a kitbash using bikesand legs from the GSC Jackals, Cadian torsos and heads (old and new), weapons from Krieg Death Riders, as well as several other bits. Bikes and riders are painted in the urban camo scheme of my army.

A commissar miniature for Warhammer 40k before the fix: The commissar is wearing a black great coat, and a white uniform. He has dark skin, and I forgot to paint his teeth and tongue.

The same mini after a quick fix. Now his teeth are white and his tongue is red. Not perfect, but definitely better.

My commissar had a quick appointment at the dentist today to get his teeth whitened.

In other words: I spotted a mistake which looked alright on the table, but bugged me enough on the photo to bring him back to the painting table. 😅

A look at 5 bikes for Warhammer 40k, which I borrowed from the GSC to make a custom unit of Rough Riders for my Guard army. They're primed in black and grey, and have been customized by adding Guard specific bits, like Lasguns and other bits from Krieg Death Riders, and a radio from the Catachans.

In all seriousness, I'm quite happy how these bikes look. The riders still need a bit more work with their uniform jackets.

A miniature Warhammer 40,000 heavy weapons team featuring two Astra Militarum soldiers in a prone position on a desert-themed base with a heavy bolter. They are wearing yellow-brown fatigues, brown boots and gloves, and olive flak helmets with red-tinted goggles. One soldier operates a large, black heavy bolter mounted on a bipod, while the other acts as a loader/spotter. The circular base is covered in fine brown sand and small rocks.

I'm really glad they're remaking the Armageddon Steel Legion. When they do, I hope they bring back the lying-down heavy bolter team. That was so cool to me as a kid. If I'd had the pocket money, I'd have done #SteelLegion alongside my Tallarn Desert Raiders.

Front view of my Imperial Guard army's regimental standard and its wounded bearer. It reads "Fidelis Finem", which hopefully translates to "Loyal (to the) end". There was no way I could paint these letters small enough to include the word "ad".

I found a latinized phrase in some old lore paper I wrote for my army: "Ever loyal to the Emperor and the City". Shortened it, then shortened it even further and now my regimental standard has a motto.

Good enough for my purposes. I dislike painting tiny letters.

All the minis are wearing grey urban camo uniforms, with the exception of Sly: He is tacticool, and has desert camo pants.

Fixed the mold line on "fuel guy's" left arm, and I'm calling the tank crew and Sly done. The ratlings need a bit more work, and the banner bearer needs a slogan. I won't be able to varnish them for a few more days anyway, so I have time to come up with something.
